These bird scare discs are amazing! They work perfectly! I was looking for a fake owl or something to keep the birds from pooping on our front porch. We never had a problem until a month ago and the birds started pooping on our porch and on the front door screen every day! I don't know why, there were no visible nesting places but it was awful! While researching the owls, I saw these discs and thought they might do the trick. I heard they we're a bit of a pain to put together, but I didn't care. If they worked, it would be worth it. It did take some time to pull the 3 layers of protective film off the discs, and hook them all together, but in the end, it was TOTALLY worth it! And they look prettier than a plastic owl hanging from the porch light! 😂😁💕 It's been two weeks, and NO POOP! 😁 A very good buy if you ask me!

I was so tired of birds pooping on my front porch. I saw this item on Amazon and it got really good reviews so I decided to try it. I liked the idea that you could configure the strips in several ways and I went for 3 longer strips instead of eight, as that configuration worked best for my purposes. For the first day in quite a while, there is no bird poop on my porch! The birds love to perch on the chairs (picture attached) and poop while scanning for bugs. I love how this bird deflector looks, it looks like a pretty decorative piece instead of some tacky home-made job. It moves and reflects with the slightest wind and just looks very nice. I really like the fact that it seems to be doing the job and looks pretty too!

These were super easy to put together and hang in front of our windows. They are really cool-looking and have so far stopped the birds from flying into my pretty new windows. (We were so upset to make the investment for new windows and find that birds flew right into them--I would rather have had my old ones!) I am so glad they are working and I really enjoy looking at these little baubles! A great purchase.

These reflective Bird Scare Discs are fanatastic! Living in Florida I regularly grow various veggies in containers in my backyard. Birds have always been a problem and I've used a few different types of deterrents with only modest success. These reflective discs have been completely effective in warding off birds...My 5 cherry tomato plants are 6 feet tall and loaded with tomatoes but I haven't lost any to birds. The discs are very lightweight and extremely reflective, throwing bursts of light all around depending upon the weather...quite pretty actually They were easily assembled, only took about 15 minutes total. They include important swivel connectors and large open hooks that can be hung on branches. I use tall bamboo poles in addition to tomato cages and hang the disc hooks from natural hole in middle of bamboo sticks. It's great to no longer fight the birds and squirrels....very happy with this purchase!

You have to assemble each piece which consists of connecting each of the reflective discs and then the hanger. It's kind of time consuming. I put together about 12 of them and they really did not discourage the birds at all. They'd make great pieces for arts and crafts.

Not sure why the negative ratings, these reflectors are not cheap pieces of foil. The plastic coverings may be a little challenging but I found that a small flat head screwdriver worked great. Just rub the flat edge along the edge of the disc and the film comes off very easily. I did find that the ring could also be tricky but the same screwdriver works great to separate the ring so the discs will slide on easily. We had some robins eyeing our blueberry bushes, which had netting over them, but the birds were intent on snacking on the berries, hence the need for a deterrent. I set these up at various spots through out the gardens and by the bushes. The birds that would fuss at us anytime we were outside seemed to have decided to forego the berry treats, they no longer sit and squawk at us, flying back and forth in front of the bushes. Now we can peacefully pick blueberries. The discs are very reflective so placement should take in account any area in eyesight of the reflectors. They are attractive but could be annoying when the wind is blowing. I would recommend these reflectors, they definitely fulfilled their intended purpose.

I have used the product for about two months now. My covered porch was a magnet for doves, and I had to relocate them frequently; however, often they left a significant mess behind. Since installing this product, I have had zero new nests in the covered porch, with a couple of new nests nearby, so it appears to be working as the porch was previously irresistible to the nesting dove.' That said, the product is completely unassembled. It isn't rocket science to put them together, but in the process, it is pretty easy to split the discs between the hole and the edge, meaning they will still assemble, but some disks will likely eventually fall off. If the disks were a little thicker, it might be easier to work with. At the end of the season I am going to remove these and put a little epoxy on the discs near the holes to make them a bit stronger. Suggested improvements aside, these appear to work (at least with doves), they are shiny and bright, and look kind of cool, so I would suggest giving them a try if you have a problem with birds and the mess they make.

These discs are easy to assemble and hang. They do catch the light and reflect well sending reflection were we wanted. However, I thing the birds laugh at them (in their own way) as they haven't appear to deter the birds up under our boathouse roof. I guess the upside was that these didn't cost much. A couple of neighbors have noticed and asked about them. After several months the reflective film on the plastic disks is starting to show signs of weathering but we have a few disks left to replace them as needed. I wouldn't order these or a similar product again unless they were just for the eye-catching element.
