Question 1

I was taking my grinder apart to clean it and then noticed the little metal spring piece - where does the metal piece go?

Accepted Answer

Hi, I see Jack already responded with the correct information, but just to confirm. Yes, it goes on the shaft on top of the ceramic cone. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Question 2

Two questions: 1. (approximate) dimensions of the device; 2. (approximate) largest pill size that can be crushed without splitting

Accepted Answer

Hi Rich, thank you for reaching out to us.
1) The product dimensions are 5,1x2x2 inches
2) The biggest pill we were able to crush was a multivitamin pill of dimension 0,39x0,78x0,19 inches. Keep in mind it was possible to crush it in two stages, first we opened the adjusting wheel to the most coarse setting and then set it to a finer setting and ground it again. 0,19 inches of thickness is a lot for a pill, anything less than that should not be a problem.
I hope that answers your question. If you have any more feel free to contact us. Wishing you a great day!

Question 3

I can't figure out how to get to the powdered pills in the bottom chamber. Please help?

Accepted Answer

The problem I had was similar, but I couldn’t get the mechanism to actually crush anything larger than an 81 mg aspirin. There is an adjustment to open up the grinder which allows the powder to fall through. Take the bottom chamber off, turn the crank handle counter clockwise while holding the black nut on the bottom and it should open up the space between the grinders. Please see the video.

Question 4

I cannot get the lid off to use this crusher. Any suggestions?

Accepted Answer

It is a tight to start but once you begin using it will slip off easy. Try rotating the lid initially a few times to loosen and it will began to lift off.
