Ardell Magnetic Strip Lash

I'm so disappointed that these don't work. I read a fair amount of reviews saying it's just a matter of practice and getting used to it so I took a chance. Unfortunately it isn't. They don't hold over lashes, the magnet isn't strong enough. The applicator is of no help whatsoever. When you clamp the lashes into place using it, they either stick to the applicator or just one magnet would hold and therefore the whole thing just moves out of place or falls off. I tried trimming it down thinking that would help but it didn't and now I can't even bloody return it. Don't buy them. Rubbish and waste of money.

In love with these and plan to buy more! Was tricky at first to put them on but with some practise and applying a little mascara to my own lashes I got them in place. They stayed on all day...didn’t feel like I had them on...so much that forgot I was wearing them and didn’t take them off when did exercise workout. And they survived an hour cardio kickboxing workout ...didn’t move or fall off. Best Buy ever!!

These lashes looked and felt lovely. I couldn’t for the life of me get them on in the right place and they slipped right off even if I got them near the base of my lashes (even with mascara on). I got another couple of people to try and I had a go without the applicator as well as with. No one could get them on properly. They’re very long and you can’t cut them down as the magnets are right at the ends. I was very disappointed as they would have looked great if they stayed on.

These are practically impossible to use, they just do not work, you can’t put them on yourself as you can’t get them far back enough, the applicator doesn’t help. I’ve even tried to put them on my husband who has longer lashes, just to see if they actually work, and every time he blinked or moved they fell off. I’ve given it 5 stars for easy to remove because they don’t actually stay on.The lashes do however look nice, but that doesn’t help because they won’t go on my face.

I have been using Ardell magnetic lashes for over a year and I used to love them. Having read some comments and watched some YouTube videos, I discovered that if you cut the bottom strip in half, it makes application much easier – it actually ended up being quicker than applying mascara! HOWEVER. The last two sets I've bought only have three magnets instead of four, which means that you can't cut them in half properly and the adhesion to the lashes is not good enough. I tried cutting them into thirds, but that made it way too fiddly. PLEASE go back to four magnets, Ardell!

So this was my original review:Unfortunately they are terrible! I really wanted them to be great. It took me over an hour to get them on and I’m a QUALIFIED EYELASH EXTENSION TECHNICIAN AND TRAINER!!!!! Then, when I did manage to get them on they looked good from far, But when you take a closer look they where hanging of. They didn’t stay on for more than 20 mins. I think if you wear macará with them they might be easier to stay on, but I didn’t want to! I bought them so I didn’t have to wear mascara. The lashes themselves are really nice, the thickness, length and style etc. But unfortunately they are useless.Edited review!Put mascara on and they are great! The trick is to wear mascara. That should be written somewhere!!!It took me 5 second one to get these on this morning after I had only put one code of mascara on! I now love them.Impossible to put in without mascara.

Lashes were great for staying in place and don’t slip. They are a bit fiddly to put on but so are any false lashes. They are brilliant and they look fantastic. Had to cut a little off the ends to fit my eyes but I love them!

Yeah there 100% easy to remove because they don't go on properly. There useless. Dont clip together properly, don't sit properly on eyelashes. I use eyelashes constantly but was sick of glue tried this and will never buy them again. Waste of money. Wouldn't even of give these 1 star if I didn't have to.

Voto zero!

Don’t work for thin lashes no matter if you use mascara. Super hard to get on. You won’t be able to trim them due to magnet placing. It’s one size fits alls and that size did not work for me (way too long).

Magnetic lashes are a learning curve but once you figure it out, they are amazing! I was very pleased with these lashes from Ardell; they are good quality, great style (for more dramatic looks/full lashes), and many times people would ask me if they were my real lashes; which is always a plus. They are more expensive than some regular falsies but as long as you take care of them they can last a very long time because they aren't being destroyed by the eyelash glue. You can save more money in the long run.The one big thing I love about magnetic lashes in comparison to traditional falsies is that I don't have to wear eyeliner! With traditional falsies you have to have eyeliner on or you will see the band or the glue from the lashes, where with magnetics you don't have this problem. I do recommend wearing mascara with magnetics just because it helps hide them and also it stops them from slipping down over time because without mascara your lashes produces natural oils so the magnetic lashes don't have much of a grip without mascara (but I have used them without it before). Also, you know when you were falsies and it starts to lift because you didn't use enough lash glue or it got pulled on accident so you have to carry lash glue with you to re-attach it. Well if magnetic lashes shift a little throughout the day all you need is a mirror because they are super easy to fix!. Just pull apart and position.I did say though that their is a learning curve. When these lashes first came in I tried to put them on for like 45 min and I gave up and an hour later tried again and finally got them on after a half hour. Eventually I found a good technique that works for me and they are now really easy and fast to put on. I have heard that if you have a lot of trouble with attaching these lashes easily and comfortably, that you could also cut the bottom strip into four pieces and attach them that way but I would recommend looking up youtube videos before doing so.

This is product was designed to fail. I really don't understand how it got green light to be put on the market.Flaw #1:Magnets are too thick. There are 3 magnets placed on each lash strip. One on the inner corner, one on the outter corner and one on the center. When the upper and under lashes are clipped together, it leaves a huge gap between magnets along the strips due to their thickness as shown in the first photo. If you have thin lashes, these would simply slide right off which is probably why so many people are struggling through the application process.Flaw #2:Not enough magnets. If there were more magnets along the entire strip, in theory cutting the under lashes into 3 pieces would work like some of the reviewers and Youtubers suggested. But you can see in the second photo, the cut pieces rotates from not having enough magnets to hold them correctly in place.Flaw #3:The prongs are useless. There are also magnets strips on the upper and bottom clamps of the prongs. We're suppose to stick the upper lash strip onto the upper clamp, and the under lash strip on the bottom clamp like you see in the 3rd photo. That itself was a whole new other obstacle on it's own. It was difficult putting them in place without the lash strips sticking together. Then what you do next is to use the prongs to clamp the lash strips over your natural lashes so it sandwiches them. But when I tried to release it, it stays stuck onto the prongs and all the lash strips ends up sliding off.I would not recommend this product to anyone except maybe my worst enemies. It was a very infuriating experience and definitely not worth $25. These were also made in China which really explains everything.PS. Please excuse the cat hair stuck on the lashes in the photos. It fell on the floor many times during the application attempts.
