Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Razor Blades for Men Razor Mailbox Capable (Pack of 8)

I'm sure I'm not alone in never buying replacement blades for my razor. I always buy these sets, and then when I've used all the blades buy another set. Gillette, Wilkinson Sword, I'm not really fussed, I just tend to buy what's good value at the time. This is the first time I've bought this Hydro 5 system, and I'm very pleased so far. You get 12 blades plus the razor which already has a blade on it, so 13 blades in total. It's a 5 blade system. Do you need 5 blades? Who knows, but it seems fairly standard these days. I do like the gel on these. When wet, the gel swells slightly and gives a very soft and smooth glide over your face. I don't always bother with soap. I often will just use plain water. That can be a little harsh and dry with some razors, but these are fine, very smooth and they leave the skin soft and supple without any razor burn. Overall, I'm impressed with this system. I particularly like the built in gel, it really does work well. I also like the fact that you can clip the top piece that's contains the gel, back, so reducing the height size of the head. This works really well, especially for shaving the difficult bit just under your nostrils. With 13 blades in total, it represents good value for money, and I would happily buy again. Recommended. Don't normally do reviews but this might help others in deciding on these. So have used Gillette for over ten years, started with Mach 3 recently using the latest Fusion Power one with the battery thing. Anyways got a Wilkinson Sword razor and blade in some mens promotion thing, used it liked it. So when it came to stock up on my normal Gillette razors I thought I would try this pack for a change. Great value at £20 for a razor and 13 blades, £20 would just about get you 9 Gillette blades. Not just better value though, the shave is so much smoother and closer, seems like the blades are just sharper. I can honestly tell the difference. If I had a few days stubble and a less than new Gillette razor I could feel it pulling, these razors are much more comfortable and seem to stay sharp longer. Have definitely changed system and feel I will stick with these. EDIT: Still love these. Definitely getting more shaves per razor. New Edit! Just coming to reorder these as I only have 3 blades left. Checking my original order date looks like they will have lasted me a year shaving twice a week!!

I don't normally write reviews but felt I had to with regards to this razor. Now I prefer a wet shave and had been using Gillette's proglide razor but started looking elsewhere due to the rising costs of the razor blades. I tried one of the subscription options, namely Harrys, but was unhappy with the quality of the shave so cancelled before the next shipment was due. I bought this pack because it offered value for money and, I have to say, this razor is far better than the Gillette Proglide, I get a much smoother shave which I genuinely didn't think was possible and, best of all, no irritation at all. Equally there is a considerable price difference between proglide blades and hydro 5. At the time of writing a pack of 8 Proglide blades on amazon is £21.65 whereas a pack of 8 hydro 5 blades is £16.25. If you're thinking of making the switch from Gillette to Wilkinson sword I would highly recommend it.

I’m going to start by saying I’ve bought this product consistently for the past 2 years and I love it and will continue buying it. BUT it does not deserve 5 stars for a few reasons. Cons - You can only get a couple of showers use before the moisturiser band erodes away to a point where the razor is a bit useless and doesn’t glide over your skin anymore - Can only use this for less sensitive areas, such as legs and armpits. Using on your ladybits will give you razor burn every time - The razor itself is quite harsh without the moisturiser band - Not very precise, you’ll need another razor for more precise areas Pros - Creates incredibly smooth and soft legs and armpits and on the first few uses it’s so gentle on your skin - Can separate the razor from the moisturiser band meaning you can use it as just a normal razor one the band is eroded away - Using this as a separate razor to your lady bits razor means you can keep your lady bits razor nice and sharp and not blunt it through excessive use All in all I love this razor, but I do have another razor as well for more precise areas and my lady bits. It can get quite costly to keep changing the heads as they honestly only last about 2 showers before it’s noticeably a bit rubbish to use, but you can just use the razor head without the moisturiser band so it’s not a complete loss, just make sure you have some shaving cream if you do that as it’s quite a primitive razor

Have ordered these for myself before and mum. Reliable and fair price. Unfortunately the delivery driver today not only delivered the goods...great, but he also decided that my 77yr old mum should deliver 2 of her neighbours parcels for him too. I'm assuming he's being paid a good wage to deliver them himself. Very unprofessional and just a tad lazy. I've told her to put them in a bin bag and chuck it on their doorstep!! 5 star product...Zero stars for delivery.

Bought this is replace my Mach3 that I’ve been using for years and years. The dreadful advert forced my hand in this decision. I am a decent man, brought up to have a strong moral compass and don’t need to be mothered by a shaving brand. I also dislike seeing women portrayed as helpless. So I bought this razor. And I’m glad I did. My first shave was a bit tricky as the blade area is bigger - due to the 5 blades rather than 3, but I soon got the hang of it. I have to say, the results are great. Very close without irritating my skin. I have an unfortunate combination of thick facial hair and sensitive skin and the razor left my skin looking great, even though it was so close. There is a flip top to the blades so you can add more precision to your shave - didn’t realise until I read the instructions as it’s not obvious. This works well and is needed because of the large contact area. That’s about it. Glad I tried something new after all these years and I feel comfortable in my skin both physically and morally now. Give it a go, I think there are smaller packs you can try as a starter if you done want to gamble - you should at least try. Oh, my stubble is also much shorter after 12 hours than it would have been with the Mach3. There is better a man can get it seems.

Absolute dream using these. I ran out of blades and was using my wife' Venus razors until I got more, not recommended guys! Cutting myself to bits I was. Then I thought I didn't want to trudge to town in middle of a local lockdown, so I though I'd give these a try. Came within 2 days. Now I ain't a shave down sort of guy. I shave all-ways. Up, down,sideways - any way the hair grows. To me that's the only way to really shave. Gets right to the skin. And as I shave my head and my face, it's what I want. These razors do that. Right to the skin with no bristles left. No cutting or nicking. Perfect shave actually and for the prices they charge for blades it's what we pay for guys.

I wasn't looking for a razor - as usual, I was having trouble finding blades for my current one in my usual supermarket! So, I decided to check out Old Faithful and there found what seemed to be quite a good deal. I'm getting around 10 quality shaves per blade and so am not anticipating needing to go shopping for blades for a while and whilst I reckon that my old razor would have picked up the new blades OK, my new razor feels nice and new and I couldn't resist it what with its adequately flexible head and rubberised handle all. The handle does get a little slimy when wet with the shave gel but this, I consider, is no real problem. Recommended!

Ich litt sehr an Hautrötungen und Pickel nach der Rasur, da ich mich aber täglichen rasieren muss durch meinen Beruf musste ich dadurch. Ich habe so einige Rasierer ausprobiert und auch verschiedene Klingen ausprobiert. Ich hab angefangen mit Gillette, hatte eigentlich alles von Gillette mal gehabt. Mach 3, Fusion oder auch den Proglide. Zu dem hab ich jede Art von verschiedenen Klingen ausprobiert (Proshield etc) leider war bei mir nach ca 5-7 Tage (täglich rasieren) Schluss! Da ich sehr unter Rasurbrand gelitten habe nach den Gillette Produkten. Zu dem hab ich auch schon fast alles andere ausprobiert (Rasierschaum, Rasiergel, Rasiercreme etliche Ater Shaves). Irgendwann hab ich mir mal den Braun Series 9 gekauft, nun ja der Rasurbrand und die Pickel waren weg, aber die Rasur fande ich halt nicht so optimal wie beim Nassrasierer. Dann hab ich mir vor paar Monaten den Wilkinson Hydro 5 Sensitive gekauft, ausschlaggebender Punkt für mich waren die Gelddepots und der Preis da die Klingen viel günstiger sind wie bspw Gillette. Nun ja hab sie seit dem Täglich in Gebrauch und ich bin sehr zufrieden. Das Rasurergebnis ist optimal!! Habe viele Testberichte gelesen (bspw Gillette gegen Wilkinson) wo man immer liest Wilkinson Rasuren wären nicht so effizient. Aber ich finde die Rasur mit dem Hydro 5 ist genau so gut wie mit dem Gillette Proglide (was angeblich der Beste Nassrasierer wäre). Zu dem mein Rasurbrand und die Pickel sind weg!! Was für mich sehr wichtig ist (wer will schon mit einem Roten Hals rumlaufen?) das Rasurgefühl finde ich auch sehr gut, da die Klingen richtig gut über die Haut gleiten und man direkt merkt wie schonend die Rasur ist. Klar dir ersten 2 Male ungefähr hätte ich Rötungen aber war wahrscheinlich weil sich meine Haut dran gewöhnen musste. Aber ich würde jedem mit Sensibler haut diese Klingen Empfehlen!!
