Worked perfectly, right out of the box
I am a 74 year-old grandmother, driving a 21-year-old F150. When the check engine light came on, I decided it was finally time to purchase a vLinker, which is far less expensive than a diagnostic trip to the mechanic. Worked like a charm! The vLinker was so easy to install, and it connected instantly with the app I'd selected to interpret the codes. What a relief to learn that a malfunction in one of 2 fuel line temperature sensors was causing the fault, and that it was common in old Ford pickups. My truck is safe to drive, and I'll have the mechanic check those sensors when I take the truck in for the next routine maintenance. My vLinker was worth every penny!

works well - very satisfied
works as it should. I’m using it with FORScan on an ipad and it connects easily and works as it should. i would guess it will work with many tablet based diagnostic apps.

It works!
At first, I was flumoxed because my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S26, while pairing with the vLinker, would not actually connect. But as long as the vLinker is sending data, the diagnostic software will receive it.

Works great with ScanMyTesla
Worked great alongside the correct adapter to use with ScanMyTesla. You can't just plug this into the Tesla OBD-II port, you have to purchase the appropriate adapter for your model and tap into the CANBUS in order for SMT to work. Great info, I keep an Android phone in my Tesla just to keep an eye on battery temps, charge metrics, motor outputs, all kinds of things!

Utterly Unreliable, A Complete Waste of Time and Money.
I bought the Vgate vLinker FS based on claims of its "high-speed" performance, hoping to get serious work done with my car's diagnostics. It turned out to be one of the most frustrating tool purchases I've ever made. The device is fundamentally flawed and consistently fails to deliver on its core purpose. The Failure Points: The Connection Nightmare: The "Bluetooth" feature is a cruel joke. The connection is critically unstable, dropping out every few minutes, especially when trying to monitor live data or perform longer procedures. It forces you to constantly unplug and replug the adapter just to reset it, turning a simple 5-minute diagnostic into a 30-minute test of your patience. The supposed "high-speed" data is meaningless if the adapter can't stay connected long enough to transmit it. Plug-and-Pray, Not Plug-and-Play: Setting this up on a Windows PC for advanced software like FORScan was an absolute disaster. I spent hours hunting for obscure drivers, fiddling with baud rates, and troubleshooting laptop settings—only to have the connection fail intermittently anyway. A tool is supposed to save you time; this one stole hours from my weekend. False Sense of Security: Due to the instability, any reading you get is immediately questionable. Did the code clear, or did the adapter just temporarily lose communication with the ECU? This is not a professional-grade tool; it’s a temperamental dongle that actively hinders your ability to diagnose your vehicle with confidence. Save your money. Save your time. Do not buy this product. It’s a cheap piece of hardware that is too unreliable for serious work and too frustrating for the casual user. It belongs in the bin.

Works well for iOS and windows laptops
Was able to use with FORScan desktop to change tire size and other settings on my 2022 f250. It only worked with a windows x86 laptop running windows natively. I tried on an x86 Mac with windows running in parallels with no luck. IOS apps also conned and use the device with no issues but you can only read data and not as much data as ForScan desktop. So mobile devices are great for reading error codes while on the road but not much more than that. I. An use this device to read error codes on other vehicles I have so it will be a good diagnostic tool overall.

Makes connecting to OBD2 easy peasy.
Works great on my '16 F150. Combined with Forscan Lite, I can easily diagnose as well as track key metrics when towing.
