Do these work good in water?

Yes, they are great in water. I have worn them kayaking where they get soaked getting in and out of the kayak, and they are just great...drying out vey quickly.

i always order my keens 1/2 size larger than my normal shoes. are these sized the way most keens are or should i go up another 1/2 size?

I ordered a half size up, 8 1/2 instead of an 8 and they fit great! I could have maybe worn an 8, but I have a wide foot.

Is it made of leather?

The majority is elasticized cording. Very little leather. But very comfortable and lightweight.

Are the sizes off at all?

Thank you for your inquiry, the best way to tell if a shoe runs true to size is by looking at other buyers reviews of the product.
