I think it has great support, although the straps eventually get sloppy and loosen a little. However, I wear mine about 23 hours per day. I only take it off when I shower. I have femoral nerve damage from cancer surgery. The front top of my r/h leg is totally numb. This brace is adjustable for movement. I limit my movement to only 10 degrees, any further and I will fall. I have worn this style brace for over 18 months and I should add this is my 3rd individual brace. When the brace becomes loose or sloppy, I just get another brace because I can’t find replacement straps. The entire brace is less than $100.00 so it’s a good value. As I write this, I think I’ll order another one and use my current one for shower duty. **Q: Where can you order replacement foam pads?** A: I don't know that answer sorry I couldn't help but what I could share with you is mine broke about 3 days into me wearing it and pieces of it were falling out the bottom of my pants needless to say I junked it. Fairly easy to use, enables walking with good support felt. Only complaint is friction clip at #4 adjustment doesn't want to stay locked which can cause bottom calf support to loosen. Here's a Hint: To prevent velcro straps from adhering to unwanted places when not in use I slipped 2 inch jeweler's plastic bags over each end, which made it much easier to put on without velcro sticking everywhere. The hinge feels stable, the range-of-motion adjustments are useful, and it gave me a good sense of support and confidence while walking and starting rehab exercises.It’s also more affordable than some of the medical-branded options, which I appreciated since recovery costs add up fast. The straps are adjustable and once fitted correctly it stays fairly secure.A couple minor downsides: don’t even think wearing this under pants, and getting the fit dialed in takes some trial and error at first.
