Question 1

Why should I choose Bluelab's pH probe?

Accepted Answer

The quality of the probe. Our probe is built with accuracy & longevity in mind, with a polycarbonate housing for long-lasting strength, a double junction to reduce reference contamination, and a fast sensor response for quick & accurate measurements.

Question 2

Is it waterproof?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The Bluelab ph Probe is fully waterproof, not just water resistant.

Question 3

Is it compatible with all pH meters?

Accepted Answer

Our probe will work with all Bluelab meters, monitors and controllers and is also compatible with any meter that has a BNC connector.

Question 4

What all is included?

Accepted Answer

The probe is on a 2 meter (6.5 ft) cable, allowing access to hard-to-reach locations. It has a storage cap that holds KCl storage solution to keep your probe well hydrated. And there is a suction cup to affix the probe to the side of a reservoir.

Question 5

I sometimes see a white crust built up on the end of the pH Pen. What is this?

Accepted Answer

This is very common in pH probes & is nothing to worry about. The storage solution used to hydrate the probe (and extend its longevity) is potassium salt, which sometimes dries as a a white crust on your probe. Simply rinse this away under water.
