Review: Is an excellent product - I have to admit that I’m quite bias and like this product, it has multiple uses and is stable once hardened. 1 to 1 ratio makes mixing it easy and it bonds well to clean surfaces. I used it this time to bond 2 halves of a small bracket eaten by rust (the bracket was of a car and is not made anymore) Half of the bracket had virtually dissolved and you could see through it in places. I managed to get another bracket in similar condition ( the bracket is mirrored down a centreline ) dissolved the rust using another product cleaned them up and cut the worst one in half. I used the good half and bonded it to the better one and presto new bracket. I had to go this route as the brackets were too thin to weld. This JB Weld is such a good product to have around it gives an alternative when others won’t work.
Review: Very messy but very effective - I bought to repair 6mm bolt fixing points ABS plastic carrying handle and mud-guard on a mobility scooter. The bolts secure a heavy gearbox, steel chassis, real axle, wheels and motor at least 15Kg. This took 2 attempts. The first failed as I tried to minimise the visual appearance of the repair and didnt use sufiffient thickness. The second attempt was a minimum of 2 mm thick and has held now for over 6 months of regular use. The repair is very visible from the underside. As with any epoxy type 'glue' it is easy to get it everywhere. I would strongly recommend gloves and glasses, and I'm someone very used to getting glues and paints on my hands. It's very black and even with acetone is hard to clean off body parts, the dining table, furniture and places other family members may not appreciate it sticking to. But this is a good thing. It's glue. We don't want it to come off stuff! JB Weld is more effective than plain epoxy adhesive but not as subtle. It sticks to things that epoxy can't. It sets harder than epoxy. In fact it sets harder than pretty much anything that I've ever squeezed out of tube! When something carries the same health warning 4 times and uses words like "respirator" and "First Aid" you know it means business! It will sand down but it's hard going by hand and clogs abrasives, So as a means of sticking stuff together it's great, but at least when I use it, It sure ain't pretty! it says setting time is 4 hours, but working time is around 20 minutes. Setting time just means it is no longer liquid, in much the same way cake mix solidifies in the oven. At this point its about as strong as cake. Unlike cake, JB Weld takes 24 hours to get strength (I found out the hard way) .

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this work well as an adhesive between polystyrene and stainless steel when underwater?**
A: I would say absolutely, this would work well providing the job is at least 750 meters down so that the co-efficient of expansion between the dissimilar materials is more closely aligned. This would be the case at the pressure at this depth such that the polystyrene is compressed to a much higher density. Best of luck with the joints holding.

**Q: Will this glue fibreglass to wood?**
A: I`m not quiet sure about fiber glass, but it sectinatly sticks all metal that I have used.
Like S to a Blanket.

**Q: The top of the black tube got glued shut (no thickener on it), opened it with pliers & it has a leak now. is it ok to store sealed in bag, keep using?**
A: Probably not

**Q: Stainless steel to stainless steel**
A: I glued cast iron to cast iron because you really can't weld cast because extreme heat would fracture when it cools. So I used this with clamps set for around 3 days and it worked perfect. Regarding stainless Steel to stainless Steel you can get it welded by a good blacksmith and the welds sanded down. Yes you can use this bur you would have to clamp tight and leave for 2 to 3 days.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent product, super strong but long cure time
*by C***E on 12 April 2023*

Bought this product to repair some things around the house. It's forms a much stronger bond than any of the other JB Weld products, at the cost of time. The Kqik Weld epoxies are decent, but I always find they pull clean off a surface given time or a sudden impact, even after roughing up the surface. This one on the other hand refuses to come off, works great for metal, plastic and wood, the only issue is it takes multiple hours to firm (6+) up and really does take a full 24 hours to fully cure. Use clamps to keep everything in place, don't mess with it for 24 hours and you'll be set for a really solid bond.
