Would this go over black hair?

Yes but like most bleach, on black hair that's trying to go blonde this will leave you're hair a copper or yellow after the first use so use a good toner afterwards and have realistic expectations of how long it's going to take to space out bleaches until you reach your desired shade. Do not re-bleach right away or you will kill/break the length of your hair.

When bleaching knots how long do I leave it on if I’m using a 30 developer?

Leave it for around 20mins that’s what I do.

Hi Suzygirl. Yeah it is great for bleaching knots, I've used it a few times for my wigs. Only thing to keep in Mind is it's actually quite strong, so don't leave it on too long otherwise knots will go orange (happened to me the first time). Hope this helps!!!:)
