Some including the one I use may contain peanuts, nuts and sesame seeds. Obviously important to study the label before using to ensure there are no medical or allergy considerations. **Q: What are the ingredients of this?** A: Red chillies , garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and vinegar ( commonly white vinegar bit sometimes brown). I have two jars purchased February 2017, but cannot decipher use by date.** A: the best before date should be on the bottom of the jar, as for use by date , i cant find one sorry. **Q: Can anyone tell me their experiences in the amount of Harissa best for 2/3 persons** A: Depending on how spicy diners like their food for most fish ( salmon and white fish) and meat dishes 2/3 teaspoons is enough in my experience. But seduced by the siren call of recipes for exotic sounding dishes, I decided to give it a whirl, so amongst other things I bought this Harissa. From the description I expected to at least finish up in casualty by putting too much in. However, as a veteran case hardened Phall curry aficionado it is actually fairly mild. Having said that, by lashing half the jar into a roasted vegetable and couscous creation, it was tasty... but not very hot.
