Is it 100 percent silk ?

Mine says 100% silk, but I haven't tested it in a lab...

My son is 5 ‘8 would this tie be too long?

Hi. choosing the length of the tie requires consideration of height, neck circumference and different knots. sorry I can't give you the exact answer, but I can tell you that we also have the same regular 59-inch tie for sale.

Are these thick, heavy ties that always lay flat and not bunch-up as they appear to be? If so, why so inexpensive?

Tie is of good quality. Ordered a few of these and am happy with them
