It states 1m drop, does this mean the chain is a total of 2m long? thank you.

This item is a 2 metre continuous loop, hanging 1 metre drop

Hi can you tell me if I can replace plastic chain with this on my vertical blinds please.

Hi yes you can but you need vertical blind chain , not roller blind chain . Vertical blind chain has smaller balls . Metal vertical blind chain is listed on Amazon , you will find it in our other listings If you just click on our name CUSTOM PLUS All the best Dave

Chains with connectors don't go through the mechanism - can I confirm these are definitely continuous (no connectors) please?

yes... this is a continuous loop chain with no connectors / joins :)

Does 1m drop mean the total chain length is 2m?

yes.... the chain length is 2m which forms a 1m loop
