Comedy ensues when she falls in love with her new roommate, Duke, and finds herself the object of affection of the beautiful Olivia, the girl whom Duke loves. desertcart.co.uk Review Shakespearean comedy and American high school are a match made in heaven--or Hollywood, at any rate. Somehow the exaggerated emotions and budding hormones of adolescence are perfectly suited to Shakespeare's twisty plots, and She's the Man is a perfect example. Viola (Amanda Bynes, What a Girl Wants ) is furious when she learns that her high school, Cornwall, has cut the girl's soccer team--so furious that she takes advantage of her twin brother Sebastian (James Kirk, Final Destination 2 ) skipping town for a few weeks to take his place at his school, Illyria, so she can join the soccer team there. But her disguise as her brother leads to complications when she falls in love with her soccer-playing roommate and the girl he's in love with falls in love with "Sebastian"... Bynes may not be entirely persuasive as a high school boy, but she's got the charm and sprightliness to make the audience follow her anyway. The clever script walks a fine balance, treating the situation realistically enough to make Viola's efforts matter, but zipping along quickly enough that we don't worry too much about the details. As Duke and Olivia--the other two parts of the love triangle--Channing Tatum and Laura Ramsey combine sex appeal with engaging sweetness; the excellent supporting cast includes David Cross ( Arrested Development ), Julie Hagerty ( Airplane! ), and former British soccer star Vinnie Jones ( Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels ). All in all, a delightful bit of fun. -- Bret Fetzer ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Actors | Amanda Bynes, Channing Tatum, Laura Ramsey, Robert Hoffman, Vinnie Jones | | Asin | B000FG6A0I | | Aspect Ratio | 16:9 - 1.78:1 | | Best Sellers Rank | 2,530 in Comedy (DVD & Blu-ray) | | Country Of Origin | United Kingdom | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Language | English (Dolby Digital 5.1), English (Stereo) | | Manufacturer Reference | 5017239194054 | | Media Format | Anamorphic, Dolby, PAL | | Number Of Discs | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 19 x 13 x 1 cm; 10 g | | Release Date | 24 July 2006 | | Run Time | 1 hour and 40 minutes | | Studio | Entertainment in Video | ## Product Details - **Colour:** Colour - **Contributor:** Amanda Bynes, Channing Tatum, Laura Ramsey, Robert Hoffman, Vinnie Jones - **Format:** Anamorphic, Dolby, PAL - **Language:** English - **Runtime:** 1 hour and 40 minutes ## Images ![She's The Man [DVD] - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81PFC0IfSEL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this film *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 22 June 2009* I watched this film a few years ago and i found it absolutely hilliarious!!! I have been recently searching for this film as it was shown on tv recently but unfortunately as i was having a problem with my ariel i had to miss it. I LOVED this film the first time around and am pleased to say it didn't disappoint. Amanda Byrnes is just funny and Channing Tatum is still very very cute!. I'm so happy that i chose this site to search as it took less than a minute to find and only a couple of mins to buy. This is a great chick flick and i will be watching this for years to come. I recommend this film to all girls and even family's as there is the element of football for the boys and Vinnie Jones too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good laugh *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 20 May 2026* Funny movie ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good laugh/ chick flick *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 4 October 2006* I thought that this was going to be rubbish from all the reviews of it, but there was nothing else on at the cinema when i went to see it (apart from Alien Autopsy, and I won't even go there!) I was so glad that i did go to see it because it was really good! Although it is based on Shakespeare's Twelfth night, there is nothing but the VERY basic plot and names to actually link it with this. Also, I think it is totally different from Amanda Byrnes normal stuff, in a good way, so if you didn't like her previous stuff and this is putting you off, GO FOR IT!!It has hilarious, laugh out loud moments and i would definetely recommend this to females age 12-32! (though my 7 year old sister and 42 year old mother also loved it!) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/50798095-shes-the-man-dvd](https://www.desertcart.no/products/50798095-shes-the-man-dvd) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
