- The latest version of 2026 focuses on noise reduction, improving the ON to -120 dB and achieving professional noise performance. When connecting the preamp to an audio interface with the right cable (like a 1/4" TRS cable), it delivers an extremely clear signal, allowing you to get professional recording results on a budget.
- The previous version had a maximum gain of 75 dB, which was unattainable in actual use. In addition, strong background noise would occur when the button was turned to about 70 dB, causing great inconvenience for many users. This update sets the gain range to 19 ~ 66 dB, a value that is fully achievable in real use. Even at maximum amplification, no obvious noise is produced, making it very practical.
- The TS instrument input in the old version has low impedance, resulting in signal distortion and frequency loss due to impedance mismatches when used as a DI box for instruments. This time we have increased the input impedance of the instrument to 1MΩ, which greatly improves performance for musical instruments. Note: the two input ports cannot work at the same time.
- With the rise of individual streamers, more recording scenarios have shifted from traditional studios to outdoor environments. Therefore, we have switched the power supply to Type-C to ensure improved portability. We also replaced the old power supply scheme with a new one that offers wider compatibility, fits more power supply conditions, and reduces the likelihood of power noise for individual users.
- We also found that some noise problems are caused by improper connections. Our tests show that connecting the preamp to the XLR input of an audio interface produces a higher noise than the connection to the TRS input. Therefore, we strongly recommend users to connect the preamp to the TRS line input of the audio interface with appropriate cables for the lowest noise.
