## Features

- PROGRESSIVE DESCENT CONTROL: 3:1 mechanical advantage of the camming mechanism helps smoothly control the rope and reduce lowering efforts regardless of rope diameter.
- ANTI-PANIC HANDLE: If the user pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic function engages, stopping the climber's descent. Great for newer belayers and partners with large weight differences.
- MULTIPLE BELAY MODES: The lockable selector knob allows you to choose either top rope or lead belay mode. Top rope belay mode makes taking in slack easier and long belay sessions more comfortable.
- STEEL WEAR PLATE: The stainless steel wear plate provides extra protection for the high-wear area on the GRIGRI (near the brake side of the rope).

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the difference between grigri 2, grigri3, and grigri+? is there a "best option"?**
A: Google will give you way more comprehensive answers than here, and videos. But, short answer, the + has anti panic so your belayer will have a much harder time dropping you to the deck, it's the one I make my kids use. I use a 2 if I need a grigri for myself though.

**Q: Can i tree climb with hand ascenders and lower myself with this grigri device or should i get the id?**
A: You could. Hand ascenders do mess up your ropes. Other devices needed to ascend. This is a good device for lowering.

**Q: Can you use this on a stadic line ?**
A: yes, it works fine with my static

**Q: I'm a beginner climber interested in climbing for long-term. should i get the grigri or the grigri+?**
A: I prefer the regular over the plus for most applications, but the plus is nice when I have newer climbers or my kids belaying me. so.... both lol, the answer is both haha
