How wide is the mounting clamp on this?** A: I have a mossberg shockwave 500 its don't fit.. **Q: I want to mount this on the magazine like the pictures above. How much clearance is needed between the mag and barrel when using the reducing ring?** A: There are better options for mag mounts imo...this is for a flashlight or IR/green light on top of scope or night scope **Q: Would this fit a 20 gauge magazine tube?** A: No **Q: What material is it made out of?** A: The mount ring is solid metal assuming anodized aluminum as it is very light weight. it works great as I used this and a second one in tandem on the barrel of a rifle; one side laser site and other side tactical flashlight. Be careful on tightening it down and removal as it will scratch the metal on the barrell I used a very thin rubber sheet cut to size to prevent that from happening on mine. The tube mount is is just narrow enough to sneak on the 30 mm scope tube and comes with two shims if you don't get an exact and snug fit. Not slot else to say here as it is just a mount. It does have a waterproof coating and is machined aluminum.
