The fact that everything can be hooked up to your pc and recorded make this a useful item for learning , teaching and catalogueing all its images. I found it well able to do all the small field inspections . And to make it worst, I have bought this far less than a full price in offer, where obviously I can not imagine, I am paying full price which cost almost £75.This is worser than a toy. I have returned something after 5 years. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ great basic microscope *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 6 January 2011* This is a great little kit - the microscope is simple but with good sharp images. I had a microscope as a kid but what put me off was how awkward it was squinting down the eyepiece while fiddling with a little mirror to get the light. This is much easier to use: there is a built in light in the base which you can shine through your sample, and this gives very good illumination.
