I've had so many different sets of runes that I've lost count, so to sat these are by far my favorite could be a bit of an understatement! They look and feel like quality bone, and are very nice to handle! They don't look like a set of production runes, they truly look hand crafted, so I love em! The leather pouch is nice to, but be prepared to wear it in! Its really leather, so when you first get it, its a bit stiff! The lil book you get with it is comedic at best, but I won't take off any stars for that! But if you're new to runes, by a different book to help you out! But all in all, GREAT set of rules, and well worth the price!!! ## Features - Viking Symbol Compass Embroidered Energy Mat with Stones are perfect for Beginners. They have a surprising heft and density for being bone. The feel more stone, than wood, for example. The leather may is a bit dry/stiff and “remembers” the folds as it came shipped. However after rubbing in some leather conditioner, it is starting to become softer with less memory. Also, it appears there is an error with the “dagaz” marking on the mat, as it lacks the side lines and resembles a the X-shape of “gebo” instead. I cannot seem to find any variations of dagaz like this, but perhaps I am wrong. Update: for anyone bothered by the Dagaz on the mat, it was a quick and simple fix with a hot-tip chisel on a soldering/heat tool, and the fix is indistinguishable from the other rune lines. I bet the same could be done with a paper clip and a lighter in a pinch. ## Frequently Bought Together - NORSE EMPIRE Viking Rune Set Includes a Premium Leather Divination Mat with Instruction Booklet & Handmade Authentic Ox Bone Elder Futhark runestone Pieces Gift for Men and Women… - Runes for Beginners: A Guide to Reading Runes in Divination, Rune Magic, and the Meaning of the Elder Futhark Runes (Divination for Beginners Series) - Rune Learning Cards - Self Study Flash Cards for Futhark Norse Runes --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/497772157-viking-rune-divination-set-includes-a-premium-leather-divination-mat](https://www.desertcart.no/products/497772157-viking-rune-divination-set-includes-a-premium-leather-divination-mat) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
