## Description

Planet Waves D'Addario Guitar Cable - Guitar Lead - Geo-Tip Technology for Improved Fit - 10 Feet/3.05 Meters - Straight Ends - 1 Pack : desertcart.co.uk: Musical Instruments & DJ

Review: Great quality guitar cable! Don't get cheap on cables! - I have stuck by D'Addario/Planet Waves cables for some time now, as they've never let me down and this 10ft one hasn't either. I have a 20ft version of this cable too, which is great but a little too long for home use, so I decided to go for the shorter option. It's the same series and exactly the same, barring the length of course. The sound quality is clear, great with no problems. The cable is sturdy as are both plugs on either end. A simple, but often overlooked guitar product, although I'd tend to agree these are a little on the expensive side, I feel you have to pay a little extra to get true quality with guitar cables and it's totally worth it, a bit like having good tires on a car - a bit of a boring purchase, but fundamental, essential and in many ways, can make the biggest difference.
Review: Good sound and good fit - I have the 20ft version of this cable and it's great. The sound is louder and cleared than my old, cheaper 6m cable. My old cable was very hard to lock in and out of my bass but the new tip of this cable has made a good difference. It's still firm when it's in but doesn't make you fling your lead halfway across the room when you pull it out. Also the in-line solder points looks very sturdy and doesn't bend due the plastic frame inside the metal casing. All in all this is a well built, good quality cable that has a wire that doesn't decrease signal even if quite long. I have a feeling this will last me a long time.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is there an advantage of using an angled jack**
A: Depending on the position of the socket, the angle can make it less likely to get pulled out by stepping on the cable. Right angled jacks are also handy when you're connecting to a pedalboard and there's not much space between the pedal's socket and the pedalboard casing around it. Best regards, Dan Hepner, Live Louder.

**Q: Would this be ok for a risa stick and a banjolele**
A: yes as long as has a quarter inch jack socket.

**Q: is this cable gold plated?**
A: No , It's not, However, The special fit Neutrik plugs and good quality cable and assembly are far more important than any plating. Gold plating is rather over-hyped , Silver is the better conductor and neither will make a badly designed connector with a poor quality cable sound any good.
These are really good sounding and well-made cables and are a significant step up in quality from the basic range. I haven't found anything which represents better value. NB the 3.0m sounds fuller than the 5.0m (not that surprising as it is almost double the length). Also come with a life-time warranty which is honoured. Can't go wrong with these.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a great sounding cable
*by S***N on 15 October 2017*

Planet Waves 10ft American Stage Instrument Cable Really good sound quality. Vast improvement over their classic series. It has greater clarity and tonal separation, more extensive and balanced frequency response. Very well made and secure fitting. Worth every penny. Try this before you change your amp or P-ups. N.B This has a slightly fuller and more pleasing sound than the 20 ft version, so as always for the best sound keep your cable runs as short as possible.
