For the observation test setup I have a D65 LED lamp placing about 2 feet above the cel. First I made a scan of the cel, and then colors of the cel were measured separately with Spectro 1, then the measured lab values were used to replace the corresponded color on the scanned image. Then I visually compare the actual cel to the image on my calibrated monitor. From my observation, the apparent darker color were spot on, colors like red, brown, green, yellow green match the real thing. However, brighter colors such as orange, light green and light purple all have visible differences in brightness and saturation. And colors like pink, turquoise blue, turquoise green and violet all have a visibly wrong hue.
