You can hear it click when it turns on and off which is nice if you want to know if it's working. I only used it on extremely low voltage but I'm confident it would work for high voltage appliances also but 3.3 volts from a microcontroller will trigger it to open and close I didn't get any pictures of the relay itself but here's the completed project Review: Exactly what I needed - Good value without having to buy more than I need.
