Carrying fuel is prohibited. **Q: How many boils can you get out of a 11 oz** A: Jon, I have an 11oz. MSR fuel Bottle & wisperlite intl. multi fuel stove, 1993 model. On the Appalachian trail, October in NY.. I boiled water for coffee & 2 packs of oatmeal in the morning and soup each daily for 3 days. Approximately 7min per boil. I burned roughly 4-5 oz of fuel the whole time. I had a Trek 1400ml pot and boiled enough water selectively for each day. 24oz at breakfast and maybe 16oz at dinner. hope this helps. **Q: Does elevation effect pressure? Bottles leaked everywhere. Discovered all poured out when we arrived at our destination.** A: Elementary...higher the elevation the less atmospheric pressure. These bottles are safe from those changes when sealed properly. One of each bottle top type. The 'newer' wide version of the fuel bottle top is a little easier to operate with cold hands. The airtight screw top insures that the fuel does not evaporate or leak and I have used the bottle in a mulitide of conditions and on various substrates. The print is resistent to scratching and the 20oz bottle is ideal for long weekend field trips.
