Review: Fit the tap perfectly based on the information (measurements) provided - Ceramic tap cartridges are a bit of a minefield, with umpteen measurements to check, the number of splines on the shaft, direction of rotation to open/close the tap... etc. These cartridges fit my kitchen tap perfectly, and all the information was provided on the product page. Fitted, they work well, with smooth movement and good control of the water flow. A little dab of silicone grease on the 1/2" BSP thread and rubber olive helps, but they can also just be swapped in for a failed or failing tap cartridge. Just check your measurements before ordering! Review: At last, found a reasonably priced replacement for Blanco Arti BM4552CH - Very happy to find these. Despite the spline being slightly longer, the overall size matches cartridges for the Blanco Arti BM4552CH. Although limited, there are alternatives, but they are ridiculously expensive at ~Β£30 a pair including postage (given the whole tap is generally a little over Β£100). I must admit, these do not appear to be as robust as the originals. The silicon (red/blue) gaskets don't look like they will last. Hopefully they will be replaceable. I have also had to order an aerator for Β£12. Absolute madness, the plumbing industry should be forced to comply to standard sizes, simply on the basis of sustainability. ## Features - PRECISE FIT SPECIFICATIONS β€” 1/2" BSP x 20 spline ceramic disc cartridge, 53mm overall height x 12mm spline length x 7.6mm diameter. Please double-check these exact measurements against your current tap before ordering to guarantee a correct fit. - PAIR INCLUDED FOR HOT & COLD β€” Comes as a set of 2 quarter turn ceramic cartridges, so you can replace both the hot and cold valves on your mixer tap, shower mixer, or bathroom/kitchen tap in a single order β€” no need to buy twice. - LONG-LASTING CERAMIC DISC β€” The hard-wearing ceramic disc mechanism resists wear from daily use far better than rubber washers, cutting down on dripping and giving you a smooth, reliable quarter-turn action for years. - SOLID BRASS FIXINGS β€” Each cartridge is supplied with M4 screws, offering a secure, corrosion-resistant fit. - STRAIGHTFORWARD DIY REPLACEMENT β€” A simple swap for worn or leaking tap valves. Just match the spline count and dimensions to your old cartridge, and you can complete the repair yourself in minutes without calling a plumber. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00QGIJZGU | | Batteries Required? | No | | Batteries included? | No | | Best Sellers Rank | 92,544 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 147 in Tap Cartridges | | Colour | Red+blue | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (231) | | Date First Available | 2 Dec. 2014 | | Guaranteed software updates until | unknown | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Weight | 20 g | | Manufacturer | Seawhisper | | Material | brass, ceramic disc | | Package Dimensions | 12.2 x 8.7 x 2.4 cm; 20 g | | Size | BSP 1/2" x 20 teeth x 53mm | ## Images ![Replacement Ceramic Tap Cartridge Insert 1/4 Turn BSP 1/2" 20 Teeth 53mm - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710xZQSJLxL.jpg) ![Replacement Ceramic Tap Cartridge Insert 1/4 Turn BSP 1/2" 20 Teeth 53mm - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41vxNdVi0HL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fit the tap perfectly based on the information (measurements) provided *by N***E on 14 February 2026* Ceramic tap cartridges are a bit of a minefield, with umpteen measurements to check, the number of splines on the shaft, direction of rotation to open/close the tap... etc. These cartridges fit my kitchen tap perfectly, and all the information was provided on the product page.
