Review: Quality Filter, Improved Throttle Response - Installed on my new 2019 4Runner TRDOR, easy install thanks to Toyota making the factory airbox painless to get into with no tools. Filter is of high quality and seals well. Only about 150 miles with the AFE filter but compared to the original factory paper filter throttle response was immediately and noticeably improved, too soon to say for any mpg improvements but would estimate I’ll see a modest 1-1.5 mpg improvement over the long term. Induction noise is slightly increased, around 2000 rpm and up can hear air whistling past the throttle plate, doesn’t bother me at all but is worth noting. I’m located in Arizona where it’s super dusty, as good as the AFE filter is I’m keeping the stock paper filter under the front passenger seat to swap back in before heading offroad for added dust protection. This is a "drop-in" filter replacement for the OEM filter. All FJC's from 2010 on use a CAI - stock from the factory. **Q: Will this fit a 2018 4runner trd off road?** A: Yes, it fit my 2017 4runner TRD off road and it is the same engine in 2018. **Q: What are the dimensions of the actual filter?** A: The one I purchased has the following measurements. The top of the filter measures 12-3/8" X 9-1/8" The bottom of the filter measures 11-3/4" X 8-7/16" The filter measurements may differ as the frame of the filter is a rubbery material. **Q: How do you clean this filter? Wash it? Vacuum? Both?** A: You can Tap clean for 85% of original airflow, Vacuum clean for 96%, or Wash for a 100% clean.
