Free delivery and returns on all eligible orders. Review: I love it! - What a fabulous example of medieval torture! I've had this two days and I can barely walk! It's so simple yet clearly effective. My hobby is hill walking so thought I'd get something to maintain / enhance my leg strength. I have no doubt that this will do the job at a fraction of the price of other apparatus. Don't be put off by the price, it may be cheap (relatively) but it is well made and solid. Took 10 mins to put together and every time I see it I climb on for a go! You can use your arms and legs, target triceps or biceps (just change your grip). You can just use legs too. YOU set the pace, how deep you go on each step etc. The counter doesn't work but you don't fatten a pig by measuring it. Get on, climb until you feel it working, repeat. Highly recommend. Review: It was good to go in 5 mins (I did check the ... - After 5 minutes with this thing I was glowing red. After 10 I was sweating copiously. After 15 I was ready to give in. Eventually, however, I had it assembled. Just kidding. This machine almost assembled itself as I opened the box. It was good to go in 5 mins (I did check the instructions to be sure, but it was assembled correctly by guesswork). My opening 3 sentences then apply to what I experienced trying it out. There are no adjustment controls for resistance, so you simply have to modulate either your cadence or the size of your steps. For me the electronics built-in simply didn't work (I traced the wires looking for an undocumented battery holder to no avail), but a timer I dont need and calory measurements on cheap instruments are usually random number generators. The construction of this beast is sturdy enough for its purpose. I dont expect to damage it. The stability is good. I half expected it to rock or tilt, but as long as you aren't almost deliberately trying to unbalance it, it's fine. Considering that competition can be 10x the price, this is fantastic value. ## Features - MIMICS ROCK CLIMBING MOTIONS: The MaxiClimber home workout system mimics the motions used in rock climbing to help you reach new heights of fitness. Is this effective?** A: You cannot adjust the resistance, hence why my review gave it 2 stars - after a few weeks it becomes too easy, and you have to workout for longer and longer. My answer was to use ankle weights and a weighted vest, but it would be a whole lot easier if you could simple adjust on machine - hope this helps **Q: I'm 5ft is this going to be to big?** A: My wife is 5' 1" and uses it without any trouble. You only need to adjust the height settings to suit you, which is easy to do. **Q: customers are saying it makes a noise/squeaky this is a bit off-putting - can the sliding parts be greased or oiled to stop the noise ?** A: It's pretty quiet , sounds like someone with a small saw. That is the sound of the cable pulled up and down. We've two small kids and they sleep through it with ease. **Q: Is this suitable for taller people? I am 6'2 tall but in the picture the horizontal bar in the middle looks close to the knees!** A: Yes. You'll just fit. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love it! *by Y***K on 30 December 2022* What a fabulous example of medieval torture! I've had this two days and I can barely walk! I can do 2 hours on an exercise bike and I found 10 minutes on this very challenging at first. It is very easy to assemble, I did it by myself in 10 minutes. Only 4 bolts, the handles to pop in and a cable to attach to a bolt. I have found it to be sturdy, stable but at the same time light enough to move around. It comes with a suggested exercise guide and diet instructions. I'm also using it for HIIT and my watch records much higher pulse rates than doing HIIT on a bike or ab cruncher. ## Frequently Bought Together - MaxiClimber 2.0 Vertical Climber ERS (Elastic Resistance System) - Easy to Assemble, Folding Exercise Machine Combines Cardio & Strength Training for a Low Impact, Full Body Workout - Free Fitness App - MaxiClimber MaxiSport Fitness Mat - Lightweight, Multi-Surface, Anti-Slip Exercise Equipment Mat Protects Your Floors and Machines - MaxiClimber MaxiSport Waist Trimmer - Capture Body Heat, Increase Perspiration, and Maximize Your Workouts --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/48932086-maxiclimber-vertical-climber-provides-an-adjustable-platform-to-target-power](https://www.desertcart.no/products/48932086-maxiclimber-vertical-climber-provides-an-adjustable-platform-to-target-power) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
