I think you'll take your chances with this. Mine was from Amazon Warehouse and if it was a customer return I can see why: the riveting of the handle to the body looks poor (though it is solid) and the finish of the handle is a bit ... rough. I have lower standards, though, so I'll keep it. The finish of the pot itself (tinning and hammer work) is fine. I bought this to make my 20g/200ml brews, thinking I needed a bit of space for the floating grounds and the rise. Actually, the contents look a bit lost at first and I probably should have gone for the four cup model. Previously, I used a stainless steel pot which worked well, but did develop noticeable heat spots which I would stir away. The heating with this is definitely more even and the brew time is shorter (this reduced time may or may not be a good thing!). The wooden handle is definitely a boon - my other copper pot has the traditional metal handle which requires some insulation to pick up; also the angle of the handle on this one makes it less awkward to use. Recommended but 'caveat emptor'.
