Review: Works really well when you use high quality eggs and is simple to setup - This product works really well. My Angelfish bred for a second time and I struggled to hatch brine shrimp to feed to the fry until I tried this hatchery. I mixed 2 teaspoonfuls of sea salt with just over a pint of slightly warm water and carefully sprinked eggs around the outer section. It didn't work with the decapsulated eggs that you can also buy on desertcart but i instead bought some great salt lake premium 90% hatch rate eggs on ebay and I had a good hatch after just one night. After dispensing a hatch into the aquarium I found it populates with enough brine shrimp again for a couple more servings before you need to clean it out and reset again. This hatchery is also very useful for separating the shrimp from the egg shells since they swim to the centre where the light is. I also purchased some live baby brine shimp and this hatchery was effective at separating the live shrimp from the eggs. Putting some extra light on the centre with a desk lamp also made it a bit more effective. It doesn't produce huge quantities but is perfect for the hobby aquarist who suddenly has a load of fry to feed. You can also mix with hikari first bites to increase the portion size when adding to the aquarium.
Review: Great👍 - This makes it all so simple no air pump looking untidy, it produces plenty for one aquarium if larger scale may be better with a more traditional method of hatching, it works great for me.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it come with eggs? If not which do you recommend?**
A: It does not come with eggs.
I used Waterline Decapitated Brine Shrimp Eggs along with Hobby Artemia Salt.
Got loads of brine shrimp.
Hope this helps.
Andy

**Q: Apart from eggs & salt is anything else required to hatch the eggsh**
A: They can hatch without anything else but you will get fewer eggs hatching and they will take longer to hatch then they would do if you put a desk lamp over the hatchery. You will also require something to put them in to grow them on once they have hatched, a small tank and an air pump.

**Q: Can you eat the shrimp ?**
A: Noooo

**Q: Do you need to add bicarbonate of soda? I see people use it. My water is moderately hard and pH 7.4**
A: I've never used bicarb, just aquarium salt and eggs. Seems to work well. My pH is about 8.0

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ very easy to use
*by M***S on 6 January 2024*

I think this is a really good product. So easy to use and you get complete separation of the brine shrimp form the eggs if used properly. Okay, the bubbler hatcheries are maybe more efficient and better for the dedicated hobbyist who has loads of fry to feed, but for most people this will provide plenty of baby brine shrimp in a very hassle free way. Doesn't work very well with eggs re-mixed with salt, so sue separate salt and eggs rather than the pre-mixed stuff.
