Excited to try it! **Q: Hi can this be used over a concrete bathroom floor as a primer before laying down self sticky vinyl tiles** A: I'm not sure why there have been some negative responses to this question as the specification for this product as a sealant prior to adhesion of other materials, in your case self-adhesive tiles, fits your requirements. PVA is not simply a wood glue and its use as a sealant and consolidator of crumbly surfaces is widespread. I have used it for the purpose you state as a sealant and would happily recommend it to you. Most brands of PVA, glue or otherwise, would work. **Q: I have had a false chimney breast built with plasterboard which has been plastered. Can I use this to size the wall before painting please** A: Hi yes, but need to dilute 1 part pva 2 parts water . Let dry first coat and apply a second. If in doubt you tube prepare a newly plastered wall for painting.🌻 **Q: can this be for external use please?** A: No, you need the same manufacturer's PVA Bond 502. This is 501. ## Frequently Bought Together - Everbuild 501 Universal PVA Bond – General Purpose Bonding Agent – 5 Litre, White - Draper 330 x 330 mm ABS Plasterers Hawk | Plastering Hand Tool|Heavy-duty Rendering and Skimming Tools | Callous Protector Handgrip | 40938 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/48671268-501-universal-pva-bond-general-purpose-bonding-agent-5-litre](https://www.desertcart.no/products/48671268-501-universal-pva-bond-general-purpose-bonding-agent-5-litre) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
