Review: Solid, except for occasional monitor issue - Small, light, quick, easy to set up and use. Only problem is that it's connected to my Dell monitor, and sometimes when I come in to use it, the monitor has gone into power save mode and I can't wake it up except by hard resetting the NUC to force a shut down and restart. That's super annoying. I know the NUK is on because I can hear it, but the monitor says it's not receiving a signal. This is has happened between 1-2 times per week for the month I've had it, and there seem to be other people on the web with this problem and no one has a solution. Weird, and annoying.
Review: Not for 4K playback.. - So far have been very UN-impressed with the performance, it simply cannot play ripped UHD files bigger than 30 GB without severe stuttering or just not playing at all. I have tried 3 different software players and same story so I wouldn't recommend this particular model for 4K playback of ripped files. Maybe the better processor/ram models would suffice?

Small, light, quick, easy to set up and use. Only problem is that it's connected to my Dell monitor, and sometimes when I come in to use it, the monitor has gone into power save mode and I can't wake it up except by hard resetting the NUC to force a shut down and restart. That's super annoying. I know the NUK is on because I can hear it, but the monitor says it's not receiving a signal. I bought this and to my discredit I let it sit for a long time before setting it up. Otherwise I'd be returning it. It's junk that didn't work out of the box....end of story.
