ARCTIC TP-3: Premium Performance Thermal Pad, 100 x 100 x 1.5 mm

Used these on my PS2 spin to replace the crusty factory pads & they do the job. Probably overkill for the job but hey, better safe than sorry.

Bought to repaste a MSI 3080 x trio lhr 12g. 1mm is for the vram chips around the GPU die. Absolutely phenomenal. Not only are they cheaper but the definitely make better contact vs the gelid kit which is actually almost double if not double the price. They also ran slightly cooler. Memory pre re-pad and paste was at 94-97c/ fans 65%. Gelid kit memory max that i saw was 85 at 65% and the arctics was staying at 83 but max of 84 at 65%. Reason for removing the gelids is because i didn't feel like they were making sufficient contact just by eyeing it but i could be wrong. But for half the price and in my opinion better contact and 2c less i would definitely go with arctic!

Replaced the worn/degraded stock thermal pads on my M.2 SSDs in my gaming rig with this 1.5mm ARCTIC TP-3 (stacked a bit where needed to hit ~2.0mm gaps). Big improvement: CrystalDiskInfo shows significantly lower temps now—worth the swap if your SSDs were running hot/throttling. Tips for sizing/cutting: Measure your gaps precisely (calipers help), then cut with a sharp tool like an #11 scalpel or model knife for clean edges. The 100x100mm sheet left plenty of leftovers for me, so small mistakes weren't a big deal—I only tossed one tiny messed-up piece. It's thick but compresses exactly as the compression chart on Arctic's site promises. Not super "sticky" like some pads, but has a nice tacky/moist feel that makes positioning on the SSD easy—no sliding around. Arctic's website support is excellent if you need extra guidance (charts, manuals, etc.). Highly recommend for anyone refreshing SSD/VRM/RAM pads—performs great without the hassle.

These products are outstanding—I’ve used every size—and have applied them to the GPU back-die, memory modules, and the motherboard chipset. The results show remarkable improvements over stock, both in quality and in operating temperatures.

ok, so a bit of a backstory is required here fellas.. I bought this for use on an m.2 ssd and the ugreen m.2 enclosure here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D53K7HK9/ as I'd noticed my enclosure..was NOT getting warm. now, most computer peripheral shoppers here would think an enclosure not getting warm is a good thing. WRONG. its in point of fact very bad. it means the thermal pad isn't contacting the enclosure(the aluminum shell) and thus not transferring heat so as to cool the drive. enter, the arctic tp-3. 100x100x1.5mm of thermal transfer GOD mode activate. I stacked two strips of this off the pad(sheet) on the ssd, slid the ssd enclosure tray into the aluminum shell, and shaved some pad material off in the process(this is a good thing trust me here..) it adheres well to the ssd, so adhesiveness is solid, its consistency is good, it does squish when compressed but does NOT bounce back, so be careful there. past that it IS quite durable. then I did several back and forth LARGE file transfers to hit and sustain thermal load. the aluminum shell, because the pad contacts both drive and shell, gets warm. that means its transferring the heat and thus allowing it to radiate away. in short, the thermal pad is doing its job effectively and thus proving its value more than exceeds the cost. as to its appearance, its a light blue color. thats the only color it comes in, and is kind of irrelevant to the discussion.

Easy to install and great performance. I installed this into a PS2 fat during a PSU repair and it exceeded expectations.

Très bon pad thermique. Je l'utilise sur une Rx 5700 XT qui normalement chauffe beaucoup. Elle montait régulièrement à 90°C. J'ai remplacé les pads thermiques sur la VRAM, sur les VRM et remplacé la pâte thermique par un pad résultat: 77°C avec MSI Kombustor au bout de 2 heures de test. Franchement très bon pad thermique.

Não imaginava que era tão pesada, excelente qualidade, macia o que é positivo pois se ajusta facilmente. Fiz o thermal mod que as pessoas estão a fazer no MacBook Air M2. Não tive dificuldade em aplicar e sugiro que contornem o cabo flat para não criar pressão desnecessária e não tem necessidade em aplicar em toda a extensão do chassi, apenas onde se localiza o SoC. Uma folha de 100x100x1,5 mm dá e ainda sobra. Para não ter problemas na hora de fechar e ficar um leve relevo do lado direito na hora de fechar, use o pad recuado 4cm da borda do mac (olhando de frente sem a tampa e considerar a partir do lado direito). Essa parte que não será coberta, não é relevante colocar o pad e permite que o chassi seja fechado perfeitamente. Anexo um croqui como referencia, em laranja é onde não tem nenhum componente (vazio) então não há necessidade em aplicar, na parte azul é onde deve ser colocado o pad e na parte vermelha seria o recuo que indiquei. Com isso, essa pad de 1,5mm fecha perfeitamente, sem esforço e sem deixar qualquer relevo. UMA ATENÇÃO, FAÇA POR CONTA E RESPONSABILIDADE, apenas estou a sintetizar algo que já está amplamente divulgado na internet e que as pessoas tem duvida na espessura de 1,0 ou 1,5 mm.

These thermal pads performed exactly as hoped and without a single headache along the way. I used them to service both my launch-model PS4 and a friend’s newer revision, replacing the original worn thermal pads during a full cleaning and maintenance session. Installation was straightforward. The pads were easy to work with, seated properly without fuss, and compressed nicely once the consoles were reassembled. No awkward trimming issues, no excessive rigidity, no frustrating surprises. Before the replacement, both consoles had reached that infamous stage every long-time PS4 owner knows too well, the deafening roar of overworked fans screaming under even moderate load, sounding less like gaming systems and more like exhausted jet engines preparing for takeoff. There is very little else to say, and in this case, that is the highest compliment possible. These pads do exactly what they are meant to do, and they do it well.
