To remove the micro fasteners, use blunt-pointed scissors, cuticle clippers, or a quick pull with your fingers. Easy to use "gun" with trigger action and fine needle The crafter's choice! The MicroStitch is an attaching tool that requires no pins, no glue and no large tacks and even works on fine fabrics as an invisible fastener. This tool features a small, extra fine needle with a durable metal feeding mechanism and a trigger which is easy to squeeze, even after repeated use. This essential kit supplies you with an instruction manual, the attaching tool and 600 white and 480 black plastic fasteners. Refills for the fasteners can be bought separately. Refill fasteners can be bought in either black or white. Compatible Needles Include: PN: 11215-0 (1 needle in a package) The MicroStitch is the crafter's choice for basting quilts, repairing fallen hems, hemming drapes, tailoring garments, tacking appliques, assembling frame keepsakes or just decorating crafts. Removing the needle guard Remove protective needle guard before using. ALWAYS cover the needle with the guard when the tool is not in use. Loading micro fasteners Insert the long end of the round connecting bar on the micro fastener clip into the round guide slot at the top of the tool. Gently push the micro fastener clip into the guide until it clicks in place. Be careful not to distort the individual fasteners. The tool is ready for use. Using the MicroStitch tool and securing attachments Push the needle of the tool through the material/fabric/texture of the items to be attached together and hold firmly against the tool. **Q: Im looking for something decent to put buttons onto my shirts pyjamas etc**
A: These are much too small and weak to use for attaching buttons.  A needle and thread is more efficient and much cheaper and it is not really a difficult skill to master.

**Q: Will this work to add a layer of cloth to a soft dog toy to patch up the rips?**
A: Yes, if you use several. I have jeans which l’ve had around 10 yrs and washed many times and tabs are still in place HOWEVER if it’s a Dogs toy then it will rip it off so best sewn or if it’s a kids soft toy then depending on age of child could chew on them. 
Definitely would suggest a needle and cotton in both cases. But still buy this cause it’s so useful!

**Q: How many stitches does it contain? Does it run out of stitches?**
A: Not sure there’s quite a few they aren’t stitches they are like mini plastic tags like the price tags that are on your clothes but tiny. It’s ideal for quick tack I’ve put four in a hem on trousers and it’s kept them up so I would recommend.

**Q: I want to sew/tack a sofa cover to the sofa, either to the sofa cushions or the sofa itself. Would this be suitable?**
A: It would be suitable for holding two pieces of fabric in place quilt you sew them together . The plastic ties are a smaller and weaker version of the ones you find holding labels on new clothes. They are only meant to be a temporary measure.
