Extra Select Chick Crumbs Complete Poultry Feed, 5L

Originally bought this to feed to some chicks until they were old enough to eat the same food as the adult hens, but ended up buying this into their adulthood. All of chickens come running when they see us holding the bucket, including the adults, and they even prefer it over other treats like fruit and vegetables. This is a great quality feed for a decent price, and we will definitely be buying more in future.

Good feed.A word of caution for quail owners, this isn't high enough protein for the first 6 weeks of a quails life.If you need it for quail like me I mix 1 cup of dried mealworms with 3 cups of this feed to make it up to the required +27% protein. I use a mortor and pestle to grind them together or the quail will just pick out the worms.

Nice food for baby chicks and grown up chickens, you probably don't need this if your chicjs are hatched by the chicken, as the mother will feed the chicks, providing you gave large garden, if you keep chickens locked up then you definitely need this. If you hatch using incubator then you definitely need this this.

Bought this last minute as the other chick feed wasn't going to be until the end of the month. It's the same brand. However while the product itself is good and my ducks love it I paid a fraction of the price for the same kg than this one. It's very expensive but unfortunately the ducks are greedy little things and didn't have enough to last!
