**Q: Has anyone used these on cast iron?  Any reason I should be worried about it?**
A: Yes! Excellent on cast iron, glass, stove top, stainless steel. I believe, possibly,  they are imbedded with silica. I give them as gifts. Everyone raves about them.

**Q: What are these made of? Looks like just terry cloth**
A: It's not terry cloth.  It might be nylon.  It's hard, "scrubby" and it dries quickly.

**Q: Are these biodegradable/compostable?**
A: The scrub is not compostable as it has a non-toxic resin hardener on it. It is however Eco friendly due to the longevity and the base material that it is made from. They use the thread leftovers ( which would ordinarily be thrown away) from the towel industry to make them. Hope this helps.

**Q: Can these be used to clean a ceramic stove top?**
A: You can clean glass or ceramic with it, but BE GENTLE.  If you scrub hard you can leave scratches on a metal cookie sheet.  But if you use it with a light hand it won't scratch your stove.
