You have to drill out the one for the over flow pipe thou. **Q: Does the butt have a 3/4" or 1" hole for the tap, please?** A: 3/4 BSP - I swapped out the tap for a hoselock-style tap and it screwed straight in. Worth having a second washer on it though. **Q: Hi, can you connect a hose to this and does it come out of the hose as powerful as normal?** A: You can, you can even buy a hozelock-type tap to make that easier (3/4” BSP fitting). However, you won’t get anything like the pressure of mains, and it will get worse as the barrel empties. It is enough for a soaker hose straight off it though. **Q: Do you collect water from the top - or drill one of the side holes out? Looks different to others where the rainwater goes in from side? thx** A: Through a hole near the top at the side. The hole is marked and you drill it out and then link up to water trap on your down pipe. ## Frequently Bought Together - Strata 100L Black Slimline Water Butt Set with Stand, Lid and Tap - Durable Rainwater Collector for Garden, Outdoor Use, and Eco-Friendly Water Storage - Strata HydroSure Water Butt Connector Kit - FloPlast RVS1B RVS1B-Black Rainwater Diverter (Conects to 65MM Square and 68MM Round Downpipe), Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/48390078-water-butt-set-3pce-100lt-gn339](https://www.desertcart.no/products/48390078-water-butt-set-3pce-100lt-gn339) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
