I was hesitant forking out for this....
.... but I'm ever so glad I did. Like many I'm fully working from home at the moment and the company issued Plantronics C510 was uncomfortable and physically tethered me to my desk - no sneaking away for a coffee when on mute. This headset has been a revelation - and has paid for itself in convenience already - enough range to cover nearly the entire house - perfect for going on mute to answer the door, or phone, or nip for that aforementioned coffee. Battery life hasn't been a problem at all, plug and play on my Windows 10 PC and works seamlessly with my company Windows 10 Virtual Machine via VMware Horizon client. Unlike wired headsets even if its switched off when I join a call it immediately picks up on the PC & VM as soon as I switch it on. No more faff. Works no drama on Avaya Red, Skype and Teams. (Not tried anything else but no reason to believe it wouldn't work) Really comfortable to wear and plenty loud. You can mute and hang up from the headset so perfect if you've snuck away from the desk on mute and someone asks you something! So with the prospect of working from home for the foreseeable, and routinely even further ahead, it felt like a no brainer to buy this and it totally was for me - recommended happily!

Amazing headset and cannot fault it in any way!
Amazing bluetooth headset, cannot fault it tbh. Charging on the go is great due to the case being able to charge the headset up. But the headset has great battery life anyhow, and a simple press of the button audible tells you hours left. Also the iphone displays the battery meter of the headset, and there is also 3 blue led's on the cradle that tell you rough battery life too. The cradle doubles up as a doc for headset and charges it too, great design. Sound quality is amazing too, even for listening to music whilst working. (People don't think you are either when wearing a headset too, rather than headphones!) The device connects instanly to mu macbook with USB dongle plugged in then connect to my Iphone 6s shortly after and I have no problem switching between the calls. I use Skype for business through my macbook without a glitch. All in all I cannot fault the device and love it. Hope this helps you decide in your purchase.

Generally great
Clarity is good on the sound, but it does seem a bit loud. Perhaps how I have my computer set up, but I have to keep the volume at it's lowest setting. The audio / microphone seem to be good. I don't get complaints. The range is great. I love being free to move around when listening or talking. It has good connectivity even moving out of the room away from the computer. The fit is pretty good. Battery life says 6 hrs of talk time. It is close to that, but you are not going to get anything more. It charges quickly, but needs to be properly in the case to charge. If you are on calls all day long, this might not do it for you if you can't get a bit of downtime at lunch to charge up. It does connect to the computer quickly, so you can turn the power off between calls. Only real complaint that I have is with the charging case/stand. I've had other Plantronics items, so this shouldn't surprise me, but the charging connection does not work very well when the unit is stood up in the little stand pocket. That is really disappointing. I would love to be able to take it off and place it in the stand to charge, but when I do that often the connection isn't good and the unit doesn't charge. This means that you pick up a dead unit after you thought you have been charging it. It's easy enough to put it into the case after you learn the origami needed to get it in the right shape, but it would be a lot better to just pick it up and put it back in the stand.

Probably one of the best earpieces I've ever used.
Ok, basics. There are 2 versions of the 5200 available - the 5200 UC and the 5200. The UC version is supplied with a USB Bluetooth dongle, which can provide Bluetooth capability to to a Windows or Apple PC, in the event that they do not have it already (1 USB port is taken up by the dongle, if used). Both the 5200 and the 5200 UC support the basic features of answer/reject call, volume up/down, etc, but the addition of a dedicated button allows the headset to trigger Siri/Alexa, etc if so set up. The case doubles as a charger with blue LED charge indicators on one corner, when the headset is either in the case, or stood in the charging recess on a desk, however, as a few other commentators have said, the placement is quite critical and whilst the headset looks to be 'seated', it isn't, so is not charging (I solved this by connecting the micro-USB charging port to the pc, the pc then provides an audible confirmation of the connection, with the Plantronics hub software providing a visual one in the system tray (the icon changes)). The use of the Plantronics hub software (Windows/IOS and Mac) is strongly recommended, as there have been a number of firmware updates for the 5200, and the hub software is how it's installed. Comfort-wise, the unit is light to wear and supplied with differing size ear-buds, with replacements available if needed, and sonically works very well indeed with both mobile phone calls and Teams calls (using Windows pc or iPad), with very clear audio in all cases. No 13A UK charger is supplied, as the case uses a traditional micro-USB socket for charging.

Nicely connect with my laptop
This earpiece speaker is comfortable, with good battery life for my working day. Bluetooth connects effortlessly with my Bluetooth devices and most importantly for business, my Microsoft laptop. I also use air pods pro but these keep disconnecting from my laptop. Volume level for work is fine.

Solid upgrade from/for the Voyager Legend
Upgraded from a Plantronics Legend. This is a straight up improvement on all fronts on the Voyager Legend. -The headset is lighter and is no longer full cover with the rubber, it only covers the ear touching part. This makes it more resistant to wear and tear, the rubber on the Legend started wobbling round after a while. -Movement of the mic feels smoother and tighter not as wonky as the Legend. -Buttons for volume are a really good improvement, more so than the Legend shift button. -The case is great and has many functionalities. -The USB dongle is immediately recognized on all Windows Systems i tried. -Works very well with Lync and other VOIP programs right out of the box, no issues. -The new software package is miles better, gives more visibility, works great and easy to install. I feel it's better than the web based upgrades. -Noise canceling feels a lot better coming from the people i talk to, some complained that it's too good, that they can't tell if i am inside or outside. All-around top product, worth the investment if you are an avid Legend user and even if not, but you are looking into buying a really good headset for mobile and pc. EDIT: After it goes out of the 2-year warranty, your noise-canceling microphones either break by themselves or are triggered wrongly by the firmware, this seems quite widespread. Your call partners will start noticing your voice quality degrading as if you were talking from quite far away. Everything else about the headset keeps working. Plantronics does not offer any help with the matter post warranty. It's a great product for the 2 years but might be rigged to become useless after that period.

Excellent headset with great noise cancelling.
I got this headset to replace a wired headset for IT work and it has performed well so far, battery life is great and sound quality is really good. The noise cancelling functionality works really well, which I tested by using it on a call in the conservatory while rain hammered down on the plastic roof, no one on the call could hear it but they could hear me perfectly when I came off mute to speak. The mute button on the headset takes a bit of practice to locate but mostly I just click the mute button on the laptop while I’m on a call which is easier. The headset is comfortable and comes with a selection of different sized ear pieces to suite your preference. The charging case is a must-have to keep the headset charged, protect it during transport and also acts as a stand to hold/charge your headset when not in use. Overall very pleased with it.

Probably the best BT headset for a long time...
I've had numerous Bluetooth headset in my life, and my last one was a Plantronics as well (Marquee M165 I got as a X-mas gift). The M165 I had received about 2 yrs ago had lots of trouble to work correctly with my iPhone 5 (and later 6), dropping constantly the calls and having problems to pair again. I opened a support ticket with customer service and it took quite a while and hassle before they agreed to exchange the unit. The second one worked better, so I suspect it was related to a firmware issue.. Unfortunately I lost the 2ne unit a while after and I didn't replaced it, as from the wearing confort I felt it was not so good. My all-time best BT headset was a Jabra BT8010, which was a genius engineering piece as you could attach a second hearing piece. However it wasn't perfect as the hook was breaking on a regular basis and I had to buy quite a few replacements. In the end it also had firmware issues that were never really addressed by Jabra and then got discontinued. Recently I started to work more & more with online customers thru Skype and the like tools, so I had to find a good headset, and wearing the cable-bound ones wasn't very practical. My car also had hands-free built-in BT thru MS Sync, so I hadn't a need for another BT set. But with the above mentioned issue, I decided to shop around for another new BT headset. When a friend of mine talked about the Voyager from PLT, I looked up reviews and was quite disappointed by the first edition, as it was not using standard USB charging ports. Then I saw the 5200 UC, which was an improved version of the original one, and let me tell you that it is one of the best piece of technology in this area.. The concept of the carrying box with the built-in battery to recharge the headset is genius.. wish more manufacturers do that. The wearing confort is also excellent, though I'm little worried about the longevity of the flexible hook part, which I feel is not very strong.. but only time will tell if PLT used 1st grade material to build this. The sound quality seems excellent, as one person on the phone recently told me that even with the lot of background noise they had around them, my voice was clear and loud. I haven't tested it yet with a windy outdoor condition, but the multi-microphone concept is supposed to take care of this and the noise cancellation too. The buttons are well positioned and it doesn't take long to get used to it. The first days I wore it, I almost forget about it, as it is not feeling heavy or getting in the way... The behind the ear wear is very confortable and doesn't hurt after several hours, even as I have glasses. I love the auto-answering mode when you put the 5200 UC on it's holding socket in the box and when someone calls, you just pick it up and the call is answered. I also paired thru BT with my laptop, which works well, but on my Desktop PC I don't have Bluetooth, so the USB dongle is exactly what is needed in those cases. All in all this headset is becoming my next all-time runner up headset. Will post an update in a few months after I got a little more practical daily use.

Great for the pros !
I work as an emergency dispatcher. Recently, my agency update the phone system, the new phones allowed connection to Bluetooth. We use Cisco systems phones. It is very difficult taking calls, trying to type, and hold the phone receiver to your shoulder so you can hear your caller. I decided to try my apple AirPods to see if it would work. It did connect to them and I could hear callers Great, but unfortunately callers couldn’t hear me. So I said let me spend some money and get a more professional headset. I wanted to get something from Plantronics or similar, but was not looking to spend more than $120. I found the 5200 UC and checked the reviews. The first review I read had a similar experience as me. They tried the AirPods with the same result, they got the 5200 UC and it improved their calls tenfold! So I decided to go for it. I got the headset in one day. I was able to use the headset the following day. I charged the case and headset fully the day before. there is an app from poly you download in the App Store that lets you customize some settings. It also allows you to see the battery percentage, if the headset is connected to your iPhone, as well as use the find my app to locate the headset should you lose it. It is easy to connect to your Bluetooth. just use your device settings to add the device. The headset can connect to 2 devices simultaneously! You can add your work phone and your cellphone. It also allows you to play audio on the headset from one device and when your other device rings, it automatically pauses it so you can answer the call on the headset. When the call is released it will go back to the audio from your device. The headset itself is lightweight and fits comfortably. If you wear glasses as I do, I recommend removing your glass and putting the headset on then put your glasses back on. It gives you a better fit. The controls are in easy reach. I am constantly answering the phone from the one press button on the back of the microphone. The mute button works and it shows my mute on the phone itself as well as gives you an audio alert that the mic is muted. When the phone rings you hear “incoming call” along with an alert tone. You can shut either of the voice or ringer off in the app. The earpiece fits comfortably. It rests over the ear canal. Calls sound extremely clear and you can use the volume on the headset or your phone to adjust caller volume. I have not had any issues with people hearing me. The outgoing audio seems very good and callers have not had issues understanding me. The carrying case is awesome! There’s a flip cover that closes to hold everything right. There is a spot to hold the usb dongle so you don’t have to worry about it falling out and losing it. The headset charges in the case laying down or you can use the outside charging stand for quick access . The battery life has been very good. I work 12 hour shifts. It lasted all day the first day and the second shift I worked with it was an 8 hour day. I had no problems listening to the audio from iPad and accepting phone calls my entire shift. The case charges via included usb cable. The only way to charge the headset is with the case unless you get other charger accessories you can search amazon for. As an emergency services dispatcher I approve of this headset! It has allowed me to be completely handsfree to concentrate on everything I need to now. I can easily use my radio, type, or multitask without having to worry about dropping my phone. It has changed the game for me!

Easy to connect, great battery life, unobtrusive
Wish I had bought this years ago. I forget it’s on my ear and wear it all day. Ideal for Skype and Zoom meetings on my laptop. Mobile phone via Bluetooth is ok. Range nowhere near 10 meters when there are walls in the way.
