It's slightly heavier than expected but that only contributes to its strength. Also, be sure to look at the photos and product dimensions because it's quite big. Great product, thank you Review: Great quality: V sturdy - These are BIG: Think 3 inches long ish. I bought them for my pram to hang shopping on: Quite awkward to open the clip to put my shopping bags on though, but I guess they are saving people’s lives that way!!! But maybe I shd have bought something a bit less professional. So strong tho! And looks like they prob won’t rust too. Fab quality. ## Features - Forged alloy steel - Screw lock gate - Max gate opening 19 mm - 100 percent proof-loaded to 16kN and max breaking strength 25kN - Conforms to EN362 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00OKTB416 | | Best Sellers Rank | 371,423 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 1,404 in Gate Hardware | | Brand | Silverline | | Brand Name | Silverline | | Colour | Silver | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,426 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05024763122354 | | Included Components | 1 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 19L x 19W millimetres | | Item Shape | Oval | | Item Type Name | Screwgate Karabiner | | Item Weight | 170 Grams | | Item weight | 170 Grams | | Lock Type | Screw Lock | | Manufacturer | Silverline | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Shape | Oval | | UPC | 793518597284 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Unit count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Colour:** Silver - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Brand:** Silverline - **Item weight:** 170 Grams - **Shape:** Oval ## Images ![Silverline 253600 Screwgate Karabiner 19 mm Gate - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/814Zq2WL18L.jpg) ![Silverline 253600 Screwgate Karabiner 19 mm Gate - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ELmYxzD-L.jpg) ![Silverline 253600 Screwgate Karabiner 19 mm Gate - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81U9Kra+OJL.jpg) ![Silverline 253600 Screwgate Karabiner 19 mm Gate - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/11oXQ41E7JL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What weight can this take before beginning to stress or bend? i need three for lifting heavy weights. i understand kg, but not kn!** A: 25 KN = 25,000 newtons which is approximately 2,500 Kg of force. **Q: How long is this please** A: About 109mm by 58mm **Q: Is it good for climbing** A: I would buy a product from a reputable brand from a reputable supplier.
