Review: bit tricky to put together in a rush but packs down small when youre out and about - Was a godsend when potty training and we started going out and about. Comes in a travel bag so handy for throwing in the botton of the pram or if you have a giant handbag like mine. At first it was a bit tricky tring to put together, especially when under pressure from a hopping toddler waiting for you to sort it out, but was fine once i got the hand of it. My toddler was rluctant to use it at first as not as comfy to sit on as his regular potty but we got round that by saying it was a special builders potty we had to build everytime it was going to get used (he's obsessed with buiilding and tools so this worked for us) Having a boy we found stray wee's going in their own direction, so found it easier for him to sit on it back to front which avoided any problems. Even after potty training was complete we kept in the boot of the car rather than a normal pottly as was much easier to dispose of the bags than having to clean up. Overall as you use it for such a short period of time during potty training I'd recommend this rather than the much more expensive ones as ultimately they do the same job and you can have as much trouble convincing them to use a Β£20 potty as you can using a Β£5 one Review: great travel option - I looked at another fold down (but flat) travel potty that does training seat too - but chose this as I was worried from the reviews about putting my LO off using a potty out and about if it collapsed. This has been a huge success! It's pretty compact, perfect for my LO - but bigger kids have a job using it, emergency use by a friends 4.5 year old girl was a bit tricky with a bit of splash, but better than nothing! It fits in a big handbag, and is easy to put a bag in and clip together quickly. You get some bags with it, but I didn't buy any more of the "proper" ones, as I've found wilko's pedal bin liners (25p for 20 ish) and a couple of large cotton pads (baby aisle in asda, 50 odd for Β£1.75) work a treat and are much more cost efficient ;-) I've found its worth "making up" a few bags at a time so they are ready to grab on your way out the door. Tippitoes travel potty is very useless potty for boys **Q: What liners have people been using in this potty?** A: I've just used supermarket plastic bags with a bit of paper towel. The actual liners with it didn't seem to fit. **Q: Is it suitable for 5 years old boy??** A: We still carry it in the car for our (large) four and a half year old. It still gets us out of trouble on longer journeys. He has decided very early (14 months) that he'd rather use a potty than a nappy, but we're not completely out of nappies so this is ace for popping on a changing table, or the footwell of the car. We used all ten of the free liners and now just use peddle bin bags with a few bits of cotton wool in.
