Prevents the growth of mould & mildew on the paint film for up to 5 years. * Smooth, non-gritty finish applies easily to wet or dry walls. * Ultra low odour oil-base formula has even less odour than standard emulsion paints. * Great for cellars, basements and other interior/exterior above below grade masonry surfaces. * Zinsser Watertite has a unique oil-base formula that combines a state-of-the-art waterproofing resin with Portland cement to create a coating that stops twice (2X) the water pressure of other brands on bare masonry. * Zinsser Watertite also contains a mildewcide to prevent the growth of mould and mildew on the paint film only, for a minimum of five years after application, making it great for basements and other masonry surfaces where mould and mildew can be problematic. * Unlike other water-proofers, Zinsser Watertite can be applied to dry, damp or wet surfaces, so water problems can be cured immediately. * It can be recoated in just four hours and dries to a smooth, bright white, non-yellowing finish that resists dirt and dust pick-up, unlike other water-proofers, which contain sand that can attract surface dust and dirt and promote mildew growth. * Zinsser Watertite features an ultra low odor formula that has even less odour than standard emulsion paint. * It adheres to any interior or exterior masonry surface, above and below grade and is formulated to prevent efflorescence on concrete and cinder block. I painted our exterior yard with it and it wore very badly. If you want to keep damp out it is great for walls but not floors. **Q: i have a room where we get condesation and have tried different mold and mildew paints. would this paint cover the existing paints?** A: Look on the web about painting on other paints. I believe it can. However rhe paint is more to keep what out. If you get condensation its generaly an insulation problem as warm air is hitting cold a cold surface. **Q: Should i use zinsser primer 123 before using thus paint** A: Yes. I did two coats on a basement wall, no damp . You then can paint on top. I used masonry paint as it was a brick wall. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible quality and works well *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 August 2026* Incredible quality and works well ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent stuff *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 April 2026* Really good paint I used it on interior chimney Brest wall up in my attic crows have a nest and it’s been damp with water leaking through, iam waiting for the nest to be removed and get the chimney capped so in the meantime I’ve painted this on and it’s holding up after 2 months so far. No issues not as smelly as reviews say, no problems stirring good consistency the only issue I have is I painted it on a white wall so couldn’t see where I painted and then the second coat was guess work , if I did it again I would paint the wall a different colour first. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very waterproof *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 September 2026* Brilliant paint very waterproof ## Frequently Bought Together - Zinsser Watertite 5 Litre - Harris Essentials Masonry Paint Brush, 4",Black - ProDec 5" Flat Masonry Paint Brush for Rapid Application of Smooth or Textured Masonry Paints, Multicolor, 5" --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/48167275-watertite-5-litre](https://www.desertcart.no/products/48167275-watertite-5-litre) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
