Question 1

could this take an electric wheelchair going over it?

Accepted Answer

Hello,

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately this product isn't really designed as weight bearing. Whilst it's perfectly fine for foot traffic, the weight of an electric wheelchair may cause it to flex and potentially damage the cables underneath.

Instead we have our more versatile cable protector which is designed to carry weight, even allow cars to roll over it. I will include a link to this product for your convenience.

Question 2

I only have a speaker wire running across the floor in front of a door. how would this do in front of a door?

Accepted Answer

Good Morning, Thank you for your valued enquiry. The measurements of this cable tidy is 60mm wide x 12mm height. This low profile means it is designed for use anywhere that is needed but, as others have said, be aware that it may be too high to fit under your door. I hope this helps. Further information can be found on our website; http://www.hilltop-products.co.uk/branded-products/d-line-cable-tidy-solutions/floor-cable-cover-d-line/floor-cable-cover.htmlIf you require any further assistance then please do not hesitate to contact us on 01942 723101. Question 3

What cable size/extension lead cable diameter fits inside?

Accepted Answer

I have twin Fender instrument cables in mine. Each cable looks to be about 8mm diameter and the fit is comfortable, not tight at all.

Question 4

Can it used outside for Xmas tree lights wire? The car would drive over it 4x a day. Thanks

Accepted Answer

Good Morning,

Many thanks for your valued enquiry.

Unfortunately, this would not be suitable for a vehicle to drive over, this product is more for light traffic, such as pedestrians etc to prevent trips.

For your application you would need something more heavy duty such as an External Heavy Duty Cable Protector, we sell these via Amazon, here is the link for your perusal;
