Question 1

If my home cctv is conected to my main router i can view it on my phone but if i plug it into this via the ethernet will i still be able to view it?

Accepted Answer

This is more of a wireless extender, so where you have weak wifi signal. I use it as that type of device. Still provides you wireless coverage however it creates a new wifi network. I've not used the ethernet connection on it so not sure but I don't think it will be a problem. My recommendation is to get home plug devices instead they would definitely work.

Question 2

my router does not have a wps button. can i still set it up?

Accepted Answer

Indeed even if you don't have a WPS button on your router, you can set up the Netgear extender EX6120 via the web browser.

Question 3

If the router is in another building 20 metres away will it connect to a smart tv

Accepted Answer

To be honest, I would think you are pushing it’s limits, it depends on many things, the construction of the building walls, how much download you need. I would email the company direct and ask their advice. Ours nearly trebles the signal thro 3 walls over about 14 metres. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

Question 4

I have two isp’s in my house. Can I select on instillation which router to pair the range extender to?

Accepted Answer

During the extender installation, you'll pair the device with one router only.
We would like to suggest verifying the user manual (page 10) for more information.

Data throughput, signal range, and wireless coverage are not guaranteed and may vary due to differences in operating environments of wireless networks, including without limitation building materials and wireless interference.

We recommend the firmware is updated to the latest version available.
