It has not disappointed, the tiny head is perfect for getting into small spaces and for removing small matts, etc. Other reviewers have stated that it does not cut through matted hair and is therefore not suited for its purpose. There is no trimmer on the market that can cut through matted or felted hair. The trick is to get right to the base of the matt were it is joined to the skin, then holding the trimmer head horizontal to the skin and base of matt start to cut through the hairs holding it in place. It does take some practice, but well worth the effort and so much safer than scissors, etc.This trimmer is fairly noisy and I was concerned that the cat would not let it near her, but to my surprise she was not at all bothered and seemed very calm, while I removed the offending matt.Thoroughly recommended...! ### ⭐ Disappointed ☹️ Must be faulty.. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 31 July 2022* I’ve got a lot of Wahl tools in my grooming kit, with four dogs I trust the brand to do an easy painless groom both for me and my pups, this trimmer however I used the paw trimmer for the first time today, it’s very noisy- my dogs are used to all sort of noises, mainly it didn’t do any trimming not cut anything, I’m not sure why. I’ve used all types of trimmers before. Checking my order I can’t see that I can contact the seller and sadly unable to return. There's literally no vibration, it's a little loud though, a high pitched whizzing to the motor.The only fault I can draw is the battery life, after trimming 3 dogs feet and around their ears the AA battery was depleted and we had to get another, rechargeable-high capacity- batteries are the way to go with this trimmer.If the battery life had of been better, or there had been a mains ability to power this it'd have gotten the full 5 stars. As it is, it's a very good foot and face trimmer, for our dogs, our rabbit and guinea pigs!
