Review: Good Quality Product - I bought this Masterplug four socket extension lead for a small box bedroom where the only mains socket is on one side of the room. The 5 metre cable gives much more flexibility, making it easier to plug in devices in other parts of the room without needing everything crowded around the wall socket. Masterplug is also a familiar household name, which was one of the reasons I chose it. With something electrical, I would rather buy from a brand I recognise and trust than a completely unknown one, especially for everyday use around the home. This is a basic extension lead, but that is exactly what I wanted. It has four sockets, a plain white design, and enough cable length to be genuinely useful. It is handy for lamps, chargers, small appliances, or anywhere else where the wall socket is not quite where you need it to be. It is worth noting that this is an unswitched extension lead, so there are no individual on/off switches for each socket. It also does not appear to have a power light indicator when plugged into the mains. That is not a problem for me, but it does mean there is no quick visual confirmation that power is reaching the lead until the connected device is working. This is also a standard extension lead rather than a surge-protected one. For normal household items, that is fine for my needs. All good so far. **Q: Can we connect the dryer?**
A: NO. As a Suffolk firefighter, you should never ever connect any appliance that is 13amp to an extension lead... and as for one answer about being 3KW, an extension lead is 13amp; if it is a four socket, you must ensure that the total plugged in is no more that 13amp. I have been to too many fires due to this, especially dryers!

A: Yes, the base has 2 openings to hang off screws or allow someone to secure the socket.

**Q: Does this have surge protection?**
A: No, it doesn't

**Q: Can you screw to wall**
A: Christopher mine is able to be screwed to a wall.  Look at the illustrations of the back of the sockets and there should be the two holes for wall fixing.      Regards Vinovium..

It’s an extension lead, so there’s not a huge amount to say, but it does exactly what it’s supposed to. Cheap extension cable for what your getting and very nice build and easy to use, however it can be stiff sometimes for your socket to fit into but generally well built and would recommend. The extraction is long and durable cables and the versatility is overall ok and well which good for plus sockets which are great and long.
