Does it really keep warm? What temperature is maintained and what happens after 6 hours?

I don't know the exact temperature, but suffice it to say it is the perfect rice cooker. After the rice is cooked it keeps it warm for when you need it. We don't know what happens after six hours, as we've never needed to have it on that long. We bought this, as our Chinese and Japanese friends use these.

does it automatically switch to 'keep warm' function once rice is cooked?

Yes it automatically switches to keep warm once rice is cooked

Is the cooking pot made of aluminium?

The cooking bowl is aluminium with a non-stick coating.

Would this cook just 50g of dried rice

Yes, it can cook 50g of dried rice. It has markings inside the pan to show you how much water to fill up for cooking whatever quantity of dried rice you need to cook.
