When it's nearly set you remove it so you can take it out later. Once it's set it sort of clicks back into place. Been using it for my missing front tooth myself - cosmetically nearly perfect. They're not recommended for eating with, but whilst a bit unstable it does stay in when I have to eat in public. It does exactly what I need it to do; look normal without a crown or implant **Q: can you use it on normal gums** A: I think it's designed to fit into a gap so the teeth either side hold it in place , you have to actually make it , roll it like playdoh etc , yes it's just meant to go next to the gum , **Q: can i eat and drink hot things with these?** A: no problems with eating or drinking. But curry will change its colour yellow, watch out! :-) **Q: How exactly do u mold the shape of the tooth , and how does it stick to the gum?** A: I pop the beads in hot water, with a T-bag, to make them the same colour as my teeth (unless your teeth are pure white) Then squash them together and roll into a oval shaped sausage. I run it under cold water , so it hardens a bit, then mould it into the gap. U need teeth either side, or a stump of a tooth. It takes a while to get right. I am just so used to doing it now, that I only takes me a couple of mins. U can reboil the kettle and pop it back I the water if you go wrong and start again. Hope this helps 😁 ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant stuff, but not easy to work with *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 April 2018* Brilliant stuff, but not easy to work with. I have three front upper teeth missing, and was apprehensive about trying this, based on other reviews. Firstly, have a small pan of very hot water to hand, and a spoon to get the material in and out with. It goes hard pretty quickly, so form it into a basic shape, dunk it again, press into hole and form, dunk it again, and repeat. Once you have something that fits into place securely, rinse in cold water and use a craft / stanley knife to make the plastic more tooth (or teeth) like. A quick dunk in hot water, put back in place, and use fingers / tongue to smooth the cut edges. Once it fits, and looks right, then a dunk in warm tea / coffee will take the brilliant white plastic to a more natural tooth colour. It took me 4 or 5 attempts to get the right amount of material into the right shape to replace 3 teeth, but it's re-usable so if it goes wrong, you can just start again. If you have visible missing teeth, and it bothers you, then try this. Have a bit of patience, and expect to restart a few times, but you'll end up with the gap filled without it being noticeable during a normal conversation. ### ⭐ No teeth, just dots of plastic. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 September 2021* I'm afraid this item was useless.
