It comes with a crab-shaped clamp that fits rod diameter from 15mm to 30mm to help mount a V mount battery to a tripod, a light stand, or a handheld ring for gimbals. The plate itself features two 1/4-20" countersinks, two 1/4-20" thread holes, and four M4 thread holes, which can be used to attach a dual rod clamp, a magic arm, or other accessories, will help mount a V mount battery to your camera rig as needed. The mini shape design makes it lighter and more portable.

Review: One of My Go-To V-Mount Battery Mounts - This SMALLRIG V-Mount battery plate has become one of my go-to pieces of gear whenever I need to mount a battery to a pole, tripod, stand, or other part of my filming setup. The mounting is very versatile. The crab-shaped clamp gives me a lot of options for where I can place a V-Mount battery, and it grips securely without needing some huge complicated rig. I use it when I want to keep a battery off the ground and close to the camera or other gear I am powering. The build quality is excellent. The plate feels solid, the clamp feels strong, and the whole thing has the kind of quality I expect from SMALLRIG. It does not feel cheap or flimsy, and I trust it with my V-Mount batteries. The fit is also very good. My batteries lock into the V-Mount plate securely and I have not had problems with them feeling loose or like they are going to slide out. Once everything is tightened down, the setup feels solid. I also really like the adjustability and flexibility of the clamp. Being able to attach it to different size poles and tripod sections makes it much more useful than a battery plate that only works in one specific setup. For ease of use, it is simple. Clamp it where I need it, tighten it down, slide the battery on, and I am ready to go. It makes changing my filming setup much faster because I do not have to build some custom battery mounting solution every time. It doesn’t open super wide but that’s the idea — attaches to stands and bars / light or tripod stands. Perfect. The neewer or smallrig clamps are what you want for wider options / or the square smallrig unit that can screw into many different types of equipment is the most flexible but these are great too.
