Review: Exceptionally well designed stand - I purchased this to use with my 2016 MacBook Pro (with Touch Bar). The stand ships in a very nice box with a carry handle. Everything is well presented and the only things in the box are the stand itself, and a Rain design catalogue. The stand is very well designed and sturdy. The space black colour matches the space black MacBook perfectly. I opted for the non swivel version as I wanted to keep my MacBook at a fixed angle. There are rubber feet on the stand to prevent it from scratching your MacBook. Unfortunately, the height and angle are fixed, so cannot be adjusted. I can also confront that it holds the 12" MacBook perfectly, too. Highly recommended if you need a quality stand and are okay with the non-adjustable positions. I personally am very happy with my purchase.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: So does the stand just rely on "balancing" the laptop?  That is what it looks like.  In other words, how sturdy is the laptop when it is in this stand**
A: It's quite sturdy and balanced. I have a 17" MacBook on it, and have never felt any concern about anything falling over. Occasionally I'll use the laptop's keyboard directly when it's on the stand, and it doesn't bounce or shake very much at all.

**Q: Does this stand sit high enough to be able to put wireless keyboard underneath and type on it?**
A: Definitely, there is about 3 inches of height clearance at the front of the stand and overhangs in front of the base of the stand by about 3 inches as well. If I slide my apple wireless keyboard under the stand until it touches the base about half the keyboard is covered by the overhanging stand. And there's room enough to type comfortably. I have the keyboard under the stand right now and I'm typing without hitting the laptop or stand.EDIT: Just in case I misunderstood your question, my answer above was assuming you meant could the keyboard sit in front of the base, but under the overhang. IF your question was could the keyboard actually sit ON the base of the stand and completely underneath the top of the stand then I would agree with answers below that say it's technically possible but the keyboard doesn't fit under there well, you won't be able to see the keyboard and your hands will hit against the top of the stand.

**Q: This product looks useful but I am looking for something that is foldable so I can carry it to school and coffee shops. Any suggestions?**
A: Griffin Technology's Elevator Laptop Stand has the same aluminum look but comes in pieces that can more easily fit in a backpack for travel and working on the go.

**Q: This one or the other mStand without the swivel..??**
A: On your desk at home for your personal use? No swivel. On a flat table at school/work where you might have to show others your work? Swivel.
