I have been told that the dry lube is for riding in dry conditions is less "sticky" and so picks up less dirt.... but tends to "wash" off in the rain...(?) The wet lube "sticks" better in the wet and not wash off but tends to pick up dust in dry dusty conditions... So I use both and when I clean and re-lube the one I pick depends on the weather at the time! But I have not noticed much difference between them, my bikes are my only transport so mileage vary's from zero to a hundred plus from one week to the next week and I don't keep track, I clean and service as necessary and time allows. **Q: Has anyone tried using this particular brand of dry lube to maintain/clean lock knives?** A: No, but what an interesting thought. I will give it a try; after all, it is a lubricant. **Q: Does this product protect against rust or just dirt, dust &other contanimants?** A: Yes this oil protects against rust **Q: Is this lube OK for ebike chain** A: Yes it's fine for ebikes. The shop where I bought my bike recommend it. I only use it in the summer when it is dry. It does wash off in heavy rain. A few drops of application is all you need to get your gears nice and lubbed and your chain slicker than Elvis's quiff. But the best bit is that it smells like tutti fruity!
