For the money, these have to be one of the best deals on desertcart. I have bought them three times. Twice for myself and once for A Christmas grab bag gift. They are sturdy aluminum and feel hefty to the touch. The lens bezel also looks to be thick and durable. I got the rechargeable 3.7 volt batteries to power them. I keep a couple extra batteries around the house , charges, in the event of a power outage. They are small but powerful. If I had any criticism of them , it would be the "Square" light bean created by the LED. I realize this is the nature of the LED and can't be helped. Focused all the way in (MAX) the light output is intense. You need these when it's dark. Review: You won't be disappointed. - Love that you can use regular batteries or lithium rechargeable ones (read specs before use for safety purposes cause rechargeable batteries can be extremely dangerous), the head of the flashlight is expandable for distance coverage. The actual brightness surprised me considering I wasn't expecting it to be as bright as it is but I was pleasantly surprised! The detachable pocket clip is handy and secure but not something that's gonna cause you to cuss to the moon to get off. Size is great and fits comfortably in your hand plus has a removable wrist strap for easy handling/holding, not heavy by any means but has a comfortable presence in your grip. Haven't taken it hiking yet but used it in my backyard at night and I can't wait to get it out on the trails. I'll try to remember to update on how long the battery usage lasts, both lithium and regular batteries, whether it's waterproof, and to add photos of it in use. No complaints, very impressed since I wasn't expecting too much considering the price and that it's a 2 pack. I'd recommend these to everyone whether it be for daily compact carry or outdoor usage. ## Features - BRIGHT - The TAC upgraded LED flashlights cast a wide beam that effortlessly illuminates an entire room or backyard, yet remain small enough for everyday carry. - DURABLE - This mini flashlight is virtually indestructible. However, in actual use, the output ranges from 300 to 800 lumens depending on the battery type (lithium, NiMH, or alkaline) and battery strength. **Q: Is there an AA battery version of this?** A: This one does have the option of 3 AAA's with a carrier for those. But Gearlights if you type in the following will take you to a version that uses just double A's. However that one lacks better reviews. "GearLight M3 LED Tactical Flashlight [2 PACK] with Belt Clip," This should get you to the AA's if you copy paste it into Amaaons search engine. Amazon sometimes prevents you from adding their own URLs to a page link. Not sure why sometimes you can other times not. So I find it easier to just include the copy paste version. I've had my pair of gearlights for over two years. Initially bought for caving pack as part of my three light rule of caving. I went with this light because of the recharge battery option. Purcahsed a two chamber LED adapter charger that allowed me to insert fresh battery in flashlight, put a spare fresh charged one in pack and finally a freshly charged one in the chamber of the charger along with a power bank to charge any discharged battery while caving at the same time. I never ran out of light for this flashlight but then again I am not caving much to nill as I've begun aging out. However love these lights around the home and decided we need a couple more. In the two years we've had them I think we've recharged the batteries like 3 maybe 4 times at most. They hold their charge well. Maybe that's the brand of battery we choose but we do use one of these lights a lot as it allows us to search through our wall of Movie disks when the hall our shelves are in is rather dark so often use the flashlight even during the day as it spot lights any section we are looking at. Really addicted us to it. Meantime I would recommend like Angela Roach invest a little up front for 18650 batteries along with a charger and you'll be amazed at how great that works out in the long run saving expense of buying batteries all the time. Unfortunately to date there are still way too many items that require the ole battery duracell...Pink bunny may finally be in danger. OH WAIT I actually caught a tv add the other day showing the Energizer bunny with recharge battery pack. I kid you not. Or did I dream that. Anyway sorry Duracell and Energizer you best be jumping on these new kids soon as you are already being left in the dust. **Q: Will i need the button top, or flat top 18650 battery for this if i decide not to use aaa batteries? only answer if you know, please.** A: I have several of the gearlight flashlights around for use in the garage, car, house or truck. None of them run the battery down when not in use. I bought a 8 pack of EBL 18650 3000 mah Li-ion button top batteries to use, At about $25.00 with tax. I'm not sure if flat top would work, as I don't have any. The EBL 18650 do not leak or discharge in the flashlight when stored. **Q: How wide is the handle of the flashlight?** A: It is about 1 and 1/4 inch wide at the handle section and about 1 and 1/2 inch wide around the bulb area. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must have item for home, car, camping, anywhere you need light ! *by J***G on October 20, 2025* Awesome product. They were bright durable and very reasonably priced. I liked them enought that at christmas I bought two more sets of 2. I figured I would keep one light for myself and give the others away as gifts. Unfortunatly 1 of the lights was faulty. It worked well enough, but the battery life was significantly shorter than the others and when I used rechargeable batteries, it seemed to make some of them no longer able to recharge. I decided I would try to contact customer care about it, not really expecting much help. I figured, hey they weren't expensive, if nothing comes of support, I can tinker with it and, worst case scenerio, I still have 5 other lights. 5/6 isn't too bad, would still probably buy more in the future. Well, my expectations were dead wrong. Gear Light responded quickly and professionally, despite it being the hight of the Black Friday/Holliday season. As I initially stated, I thought highly of the products, and I am nearly astonished with the level of service I have received from everyone that I have been in contact with. In an age where a completely unhelpful automated chat bot is often the best you can hope to reach, it is a refreshing and welcome change to deal with a business that takes personal care and attention to customer support. As an avid camper and outdoorsman, I feel that flaghlights (both handheld and headlamp) are one of the crucial tools for both safety and convenience, and I alway try to equip myself with more than necessary. Through fault of my own (i.e. left it hanging in a tree near camp or dropped in the river) or due to loaning (permanently most of the time) my spare to someone who was less prepared, I often find myself needing to restock my flashlight supply and now Gear Light will be the first place I turn to and now leads my recommendation for anyone seeking camping lights. They not only adressed my concerns, but also restored a bit of my faith in human decency. Side note: Just last week, I kicked one of these out of my car and it got covered in snow in my driveway. A couple days later iI noticed it poking out of my tire track when I backed out of my driveway. I picked it up, took the batteries out(even thought there was no sign of moisture, unscrewed the lense cover and set it on my table to let all part thoroughly dry for a couple days. After puitting everything back together, works like a charm. No sign of any damage what so ever. I also keep one in my detached stroage shed. I used it the other morning with no issues, despite the overnight low being -16°F. ## Frequently Bought Together - GearLight TAC LED Flashlight Pack - 2 Super Bright, Compact Tactical Flashlights with High Lumens for Outdoor Activity & Emergency Use - Gifts for Men & Women - Desert Tan - GearLight S2000 LED Flashlight High Lumens - Super Bright, Powerful, Mid-Size Tactical Flashlight for Outdoor Activity & Emergency Use - GearLight LED Flashlights - Mini Camping Flashlights with High Lumens, 5 Modes, Zoomable Beam - Powerful, Bright, and Versatile Tactical Flash Light for Outdoor and Home Use --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/476287996-tac-led-flashlight-pack-2-super-bright-compact-tactical-flashlights](https://www.desertcart.no/products/476287996-tac-led-flashlight-pack-2-super-bright-compact-tactical-flashlights) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
