Gotta say these things are awesome, and it's always cool to hear your garage door locking like a vault. The installation was fairly easy, but you do need some specialized tools for it. I don't even know what it's called, but is a drill bit that gauges up as you drill a hole in the track of the garage door. Use the template, measure, and then measure again. I almost messed up and had one of the bolts hitting the wheel on the garage door. Don't do what I did. Make sure there's enough clearance between the garage roller and template before you start. Review: Good device to have for that added security. - Was delivered on time, and I had no problems installing on track. My garage track already had the predrilled holes on them, so all I had to do was screw the device in. The lock works great, easy to install and I will buy a 2nd for the other side. I recommend this lock if your LiftMaster has the shield icon, it does add more security to the garage door from being lifted. I purchased the B1381 in Dec 2019 and it has the security shield symbol on the cover ( it is a shield with half light and half dark divided diagonally). It also has two lock connectors on the unit next to the up and down adjustment buttons close to where you connect the wires for the sensors and control panel and the WiFi learn button. Since it has two lock connectors if you want you can connect two of these locks, one on each side of your door. **Q: Is this compatible with Chamberlain openers?** A: It is compatible with at least some some Chamberlain openers. Liftmaster and Chamberlain are the same company. To know if yours is compatible the two requirements are for it to have the shield symbol on the cover and for there to be two lock connectors on the unit next to the up and down adjustment buttons. I have the Chamberlain B1381 and it is compatible. **Q: Wiil this work on the Chamberlin B970?** A: NO, this will not work with the B970 **Q: How far does the box protrude laterally from the track?
